I need to cam mine. I got slp exhaust and stage 2 clutch and bbk cold air intake was all that someone done to it before i ended up with it. But this one sounds great. I really want to coyote swap mine.
Damn this makes me miss my 00 mustang gt. All I did was a muffler delete and damn it sounded so amazing. Was planning on getting it built and cammed before some teenage girl ran a stop sign and fucked it up when I was driving home.
@@hemisrtv8753 they unfortunately start to break down with you trying to do anything to that motor but I agree if your stock and atleast car for the car they will last
The 4.6 is one of the best motors ever made, ask any real gear head or mechanic.. They also aren’t slow at all and can be modded up to 450hp and still be very reliable.. They also have the funnest torque curve for street driving, right between the Fox body low end grunt and the top end of the coyote (an absolute mid range champion)

Man the 99-04 GT's were wayy before it's time looked good, sounded good & are very versatile for swaps, but if only Ford made them with an additional 160 hp from factory there would be much much less Coyote swaps going on. I mean how can you not like that classic mod motor sound??
@@NewEdgeDesignsFord should have given the forged internal treatment to the 4.6 2v’s like they did with the pushrod 5.0’s on the fox body’s. IMO 260hp/302tq w/forged internals would have been the ticket! Just slap a supercharger/turbo on, few other supporting mods and have a nice reliable 400-500 horsepower. I get it from their viewpoint, if they did that to the GT nobody would be buying the 4v cobras (even if the 99 & 01’s came forged). Also it would have put the price point right above the Z28 w/less power. Honestly I think the 2v would have had a lot more respect regardless of the “low” hp output if it came with better internals.

true not very powerful stock but they are probably the most reliable had one with 266xxx on the dash and not a single hiccup original trans and motor

Hmmm both are nice but I’d try to snag a 03/04 Mach 1 if you could, they got 305-320hp at the crank vs 2V with 260hp & 3V with 300hp
