The original recorded track is way better and more emotional when you listen to it. I thought Zooey would do way better than this. She needs to combine her acting with singing in a live performance :P She's so boring in this.

@shitfeast I don't think it's a matter of where you're from. You don't necessarily sing the way you talk. You sing the way you learn to sing, which is due to the type of music you learn to sing with. Many British singers sound American when they sing because they learned to sing listening to American records. Some Americans sound British because they learned to sing by listening to Brit pop.

@weaselmullet and plus, she was born in los angeles, there is no reason she has to sing with a southern drawl. country musicians don't sing that way cause it sounds cool, they sing that way cause that's how their dialect is, same way americans try and sing like british musicians.....just comes off campy and contrived.
