So many posts showing so much respect, it was our pleasure to serve you. I like so many other service personnel have deployed too so many operational theatre's, however my jewel was Afghanistan. I deployed on Op Herrick 10 2009 in a hostile place called Musa Quala Helmand, this was to be the best and worst tour of my 22 year career. I learnt a lot about myself and add to that it was hostile and dare i say unforgiving. We lost a lot of Brothers, Sisters and friend's over the 7 months, brave Warriors that i was proud to serve with. You might leave Afghanistan but it will never leave you. RIP and respect to all that was taken from us on that tour. Always remembered. We will Remember them.

Great watch and fills me with pride. So many kind respectful posts attached to this footage, I would like to thank you all for your support. I served for 22 years in a combat Regiment, during my time I deployed to Northern Ireland, Iraq, Afghanistan and United Nations peace support operations and I would like to state it was a pleasure and an Honour to serve this country and some of the good people that live in it. To all my Military family, past and present I salute you, to the Brothers and Sisters that I have lost may you rest in peace.

10 years this year since I deployed on herrick 16. Pains me that the lads we lost on my tour are long gone, a whole decade which seems like a lifetime now. They wouldn’t even recognise the world. Afghanistan took a part of me which I don’t think I’ll ever get back. RIP.

My heart is crying today - August 15, 2021. May God bless all the soldiers who died in this country for nothing. Greetings from Poland .

It was emotional until I saw the PCSO's. A lot of failed sign ups regardless of the branch. When I was in uniform (RAF) we had a lot of cabbages (plane spotters) bore us with how they tried signing up, but they had an ingrown toe nail and failed the medical. We also have the space cadets thinking that they are God's gift because they made Sgt in the space cadets, yet never done a days actual service. However, good to see a channel like this, that is praising the police, as far as I am concerned these people deserve to be helped by the help for hero's charity, the same as fire and ambulance and others should be. We are not hero's however, just ordinary people, I knew loads of people mainly northerners that signed up because there were no jobs available on civvy street.

Oh Afghanistan how will you atone for the tears of our mothers?
