    Long mark from one of the boys? How often should those seals be replaced? I hear a lot of outside noise on my 2016. Is it worth replacing them at that age?

    What kind of improvements were there?

    • @HammerWrench
      @HammerWrench 7 днів тому

      Since my accelerator pump screw threads on the original were stripped, the new one actually worked. The settings on the new one got it running first try. I deleted all the emissions so there was no need to cap off many vacuum leaks. I’m confident now every time I turn the key it will start. It provides great power to the 460, but I can’t compare it to the 4180C that came off since it never worked for me. I still need to check the idle settings with a vacuum gauge and confirm the timing is optimal. Gets a consistent 9 mpg as expected from the 7.5L engine. Has no problem roasting the tires!

    Omg, I have a leak on the front and believe is around the front spark plugs. It looks like I have to replace the gasket on my 2007. I also have a bad alternator, so I would like to know if I should remove the gasket parts, tackle the alternator, and work my way up. I'm not a mechanic but not scared to get my hands dirty to do the job. This video here looks good with great explanation. I live in New England so the cold weather is practically knocking on our doors. A job like this would take me at least 2 days, what do you think about removing the gasket parts and doing alternator, then replace gasket?

    • @HammerWrench
      @HammerWrench Місяць тому

      I think that’s a great plan. It should give more room to wiggle that thing out of there. Just make sure to get the right kit. The back valve cover determines it. It’s pretty easy. It was my first time doing this for Tyler’s van. Just take your time and take pictures/video.

      I use Forscan on a laptop and a ELM327 scanner with usb hooked to the laptop. It’ll show you which are misfiring. Or the manual way is to unplug the wire to the coil one at a time to see if it gets worse or no change. I would use either Ford coils or ACCEL. Knock offs don’t last long.

    Update Fixed!!!!! Quick run down... My 15amp fuse kept blowing for a while now, controls windows/ interior lights/ third brake lights ect and i just kept putting another one in over and over until it would just blow instantly. I found this helpful video, and sure enough, all three bulbs blown, possibly causing my constant short. i replaced all three bulbs and put a new fuse in, and guess what blows emmidiatly again. Here comes the fix. i went back to the fuse box under the driver's side, and i have a head lamp on, and i can see. i guess you would call it fuse residue or dust from it constantly blowing that stuff had build it's self up enough to bridge across from one end to the other on the fuse slot and causing the instant short 😅 i cleaned and scratched all the residue with a small flat screw driver and cleaned with contact cleaner and !!!!whallllllaaaaa!!!! No blown fuse, all my windows roll up and down. Third, brake light works now. Thanks to this post, i have fixed an issue i have ignored for years. I hope this helps someone 🙏

      @PacemakerandButtons In all my searching, the Edlebrock doesn’t let the kickdown rod attach easily. That was my push to Holley. The 4180c is 600 cfm from what I’ve read. So I went with the 4160 since it is the same. One fuel inlet, electric choke, vacuum secondary. Just like stock, but without all those emission connectors. We don’t smog here so it isn’t necessary to keep it. 4180c is a pretty easy rebuild. Kit was $75. I found that 4160 on Holleys eBay site as factory refurbished. www.ebay.com/itm/362975467659?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=fNK2amQnSWi&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=5LB2607mSVS&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

      @@HammerWrench I know about it. When you move backwards, the brake shoe touches the disk with the other edge and a small shift occurs. But if it cannot shift smoothly on the grease, it starts to squeal. This happens, for example, with doors with poorly lubricated hinges, when you can open without squeaking and close only with a squeak. Or vice versa.

      @adamverbik8920 thank you for your input. I’ll put those to use in future repairs in or off video.

    To bad my stairs are carpet. I'd like little puck lights that i can put into the side of the wall.

      Those would help you see. Wearing socks on stairs will help you get down them briskly!!

      Thank you. It’s stressful learning a new system. Editing makes it look easier than it is.

    Gloves for those skinny azz fingers. Cleatis would be laughing

      They were a little too big. Cleatis would find something else to quality control.

    Please Can i use insulated copper wires to unclog??

    • @HammerWrench
      @HammerWrench Місяць тому

      Can you? Yes. Should you? No. Those tubes are rubber or plastic and if the wire nicks a hole in the tube, it’s leaking inside forever.
