Very interesting, energy storage is the main issue with renewables

We cannot just see the lure but not the hook. This form of energy is not supposed to be used by humans. Only nature’s use can save us. Geothermal energy reserve decides the geophysical conditions that in turn support the ecosystem conditions, and we need the 1.2 billion years nature give us to reach future.

If deep fracking technology can get down to 5km, then so can geothermal. The key thing is to learn the tricks from the frackers. This has to be the future, cheaper, faster and safer than nuclear and can act as a baseline to cheaper but variable renewables such as solar and wind. Let's speed this up and get drilling!

U know climate change people are conartists when this doesn't get the trillions of carbon tax instead of wind farms and solar panels. They want instability cause it's supported by sociopaths at the WEF.

Geothermal drilling projects are excellently installed in kilometer distanced from a VOLCANO. This way, drilling removes the uncertainties of Geodetic movements situated near the Volcanoes, as Geothermal technology is renewable powered, it removes, prevents the uncertainties of calamities and earthquakes, as the cause of uncertainties are transformed to be certainties-applied-Sciences. SMEs..General practices/../..../.Geodetic engineers/ENGRS/Architects/are well coordinated regarding their respective expertise. Ptd/Trademarks/Copyrights/LLCs/Registrations/Registered are owned by their respective owners under Franchise/Franchisees-Franchisors.SMEs..2022 onwards. Respectively:G.M Industries.

The biggest obstacle in drilling in geothermal is Total lost circulation not slow ROP, no matter how fast you drill if wellbore not clear of drilling cutting it will get drill string to stuck, result in million of dollar NPT

I thought it was a little "light" on some of the science behind it, too. It is good to see B--H, a world leader in drilling tech- they created the first diamond drill bits in the '30s- getting into tomorrows energy problems. Ultimately, any of the present Big Oil cos that survive, will do so by diversifying and Esxxon-Mobile Chevron, BP and Shell are all quietly supporting projects like this all over the world- I'm not sure how to take this, as I have been pretty sure and now am positive Big Oil has known since the 70s about global warming- even had rising temp predictions that have been close to date. But working in Germany, environmental will be baked into an new emerging tech. FR

Doctoral Thesis: Basalt-fluid interactions at subcritical and supercritical conditions: An experimental study Openaccess: openaccess.wgtn.ac.nz/articles/thesis/Basalt_-_fluid_interactions_at_subcritical_and_supercritical_conditions_An_experimental_study/17089220 To investigate the interaction between fluids and basalt at subcritical, near-supercritical, and supercritical hydrothermal conditions (350-400˚C/500 bar), eight experiments have been conducted. These used a continuous-flow, high temperature and pressure hydrothermal apparatus. The basalt was reacted with three fluids: distilled water; geothermal brine; and natural seawater. Two further experiments used only seawater as a control to determine its behaviour without the influence of basalt.

With all respect, but this technique is NOT environmentally friendly. Just like oil, gas and coal, you drill very deep and extract energy that usually is stored far away from our environment. Once you release that energy, you contribute to heating our planet. The only good energy sources are sun, wind and hydro. You simply reuse energy that is already in our environment.
