This video I'm going to explore the Environmental Control Officers (Specified Construction Sites) course details like course overview in Singapore , This course aims to support NEA’s Environmental Control Officers Scheme that advocates good environmental practices within specified construction sites (SCS).

Course Objective
This course aims to train participants who are construction site supervisors on the environmental health control work. This course is in-line with the primary aim of the Environmental Control Officers (Specified Construction Sites) [ECO {SCS)] scheme where supervisors are to take a more pro-active role to ensure that construction sites are kept free of environmental health problems.
Course Outline
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
• Prepare and submit a Site Environmental Control Programme and Site Environmental Control Reports to the Occupier of the construction site
• Identify environmental issues and recommend measures to rectify the irregularities
• Prepare and submit a Site Environmental Control Report to the Occupier of the construction site
• Assist the authorities to investigate environmental issues
• Organise campaigns, training courses and other activities to develop and sustain the interest of workers in maintaining good environmental health standards

7. Air Pollution Control
8. Noise Pollution Control
9. Water Pollution and Earth Control

Mode of Assessment
There will be a 2-hour e-Exam (100 multiple choice questions) 2 weeks after the end of the course.
Participants are required to meet the 75% attendance requirement to be able to sit for the examination,
Passing Mark 70%.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must possess at least one of the following qualifications:
A degree or diploma, and 2 years of relevant working experience1; or
WPLN L7 in reading, listening, speaking, writing and numeracy; or
WPLN L6 in reading, listening, speaking, writing and numeracy with 2 years of relevant working experience1.
1Environmental engineering, estate management e.g. WSH, environmental health i.e., cleaning services, pest control and waste management or any other work, which in the opinion of the DGPH, is relevant to the work to be performed by an ECO (SCS). Applicants must attach a supporting Company Letter/Testimonial which specify the applicant’s name, designation, job description, employment start date and total years of service. Applicants without the required supporting documents will be considered incomplete and rejected.
Certification / Accreditation
Certificate of Completion (electronic Certificate will be issued)
A Certificate of Completion will be awarded to participants who pass the examination and meet at least 75% attendance rate
Attending and passing ECO course will NOT automatically lead to the successful registration as an ECO with National Environment Agency (NEA).
Graduates are strongly encouraged to register for an ECO licence within 5 years after passing the ECO course.
