No not yet, hoping to get my skills up and ready for next year. I'm getting there, but I'm not consistent with 40mm at 10m yet, I feel like I need to get to 95% success by the spring...so I'm working on 30mm and 25mm in prep....

You won't regret it!! I've been shooting an Axiom X for a couple of weeks and went back to the Evo today. It was like an old friend, and accuracy instantly went back to where it should be, if not better. It's pure quality and class. I think it'll be very hard to beat.

@@WildandWiredUK l believe you. I recently started shooting OTT with my HGH and l was surprised how accurate l was shooting with it. I wanted to buy the clipped slingshot so l am getting the Evo carbon. Prior to it l had TTF slingshots from GZK Snipersling and another one from Indonasia. I have the Axiom as well but the problem is it's plugs keep coming lose after a few shots despite puting them in the correct way.

As a beginner, and my first detector, I think it's great. I only really use one mode and the pinpointer mode, before moving to a handheld. I think it's superb for the money, but I am finding a lot of junk - despite trying to filter it out. Not sure if it is me and my low skills, or the hardware's ability to tell the difference...

I started with a Black Widow something like 40 years ago!! They're okay but slings in general have come a LOOONG way since then...it's a classic design but flat bands tend to be much better

Thanks very much, need to sandbag it around the base to stop all the draught and I'm going to try to mount a couple of smaller tarps over the door to close it down for when it gets really cold (i.e. shoot through a wide letterbox)

So far so good, it's great....really cosy and amazing when it rains. Check out this surplus NBC tent - I wanted to use this but it has a max height at the apex of 5ft 8 and I'm almost 6ft, but if you're shorter, or are happy to sit and dremel, then it's going to be a really hard wearing and cost effective option. @@WildandWiredUK That shelter you linked does look good but ideally I need something more pop up as our stupid dog would pee all over it if I left it out xD. But I love that ebay store it was on - got my eye on some gore-tex boots for walking the dog 👍.

Definitely remains to be seen - started getting a bit gusty today so I've put some ground anchors down with some shock cord attached, we'll see where the weakness is. This was always cheap option A, if this fails then i'll set 4 posts with concrete and OSB walls with a corrugated plastic roof, but that's much more £££

Yep, I had the same - had to get mine from Omega. They should get more stock, but it's definitely a pain. I'm using 1.5mm steel rope and rope clamps, I'll do a video to show how I do it. I had similar issues with shockcord and paracord breaking, this is the only thing I've found that actually works and can take an 8mm hit to the wire and not care...

We'll see on a longer term test, no doubt the stuff will come off, but I hope it'll be slow and stay more visible than not having it on, if you know what I mean. The fresh spinner is all lovely and bright, but after lots of hits with rusty ammo it goes dark!! Clean yer balls :)

I don't think so - i think it's better for rust prevention rather than removal...i.e. you wouldn't want to shoot with swarfega on your ammo!!
