Grow Mushrooms Canada evolved from the unique ventures of partners Jessica Snider and Paul Gurszki with a vision to support Canadians to grow more mushrooms.

We envision a Canada where growing mushrooms is accessible to all and a part of a healthy community. Our mission is to build a community where we support each other to learn and grow healthy nutritious mushrooms in our unique Canadian climate. Our products and services get individuals and families active in growing, sharing, buying and eating local foods.

Mushrooms kits and sawdust spawn are grown at their farm on Vancouver Island, BC on pure sawdust, and organic Canadian-grown wheat bran and rye. They value supporting Canadian producers and manufacturers and source materials from Canadian suppliers wherever possible. In fact, rather than importing specialized tools for mushroom log inoculation, they have them custom-fabricated by a community machinist who lives “down the lane”.
