INSTANT MOVIE INTERVIEW: The Road to Patagonia interview with filmmaker Matty Hannon (2024)
One of the most forgettable films I have ever wasted 2 hours of my life on. No funny jokes here whatsoever! The best part of the film was the ending. It captured for a brief moment, the spirit of the franchise. But that may have just been because the theme song was playing. Bill Murray looked so uninterested & bored to be there it was distracting. Not the worst film I have ever seen, but easily one of the most boring.
Could poppy be gru biological daughter because she resembles gru?
the super minions are why I gave this movie a try especially due to the marketing but they weren't even used
Yeah
Where can I watch this movie? Im from America and I can't find it😢
@@rodrigoa.sanchez7768 great question....I'll contact the distributor for you and come back to you. 👍
Should i see this in IMAX?
I mean......it's very colourful and very loud and very "Despicable Me "...so it depends on how you go processing LOTS OF STUFF happening all at once on an MASSIVE screen. At the end of the day - a cinematic experience is special no matter how you do it...so yes...why not!?
I wish your channel have more people Appreciate the vids and I think you make the whole movie in a great review and I love all of the movies 🙂🙁
Thank you so much 😊
I hope the movie is good
Snowmander found in the wild
Have not seen it.... but respect your reviews. What a grab bag of Actors for this genre?? Crowe & Worthington in a spook??? WTF!! There's only one Gold Standard for this genre and that was directed by William Friedkin in 1973😈
You are completely wrong. You don’t know what you are talking about. Great story, great movie.
I really enjoyed this film! Reminded me of my trip last year to Europe without the pilgram!
This walk isn't for you.
Into The Wild & Wild are great walking films.
I liked the characters. Johnny had a soft side to him. His insightful wit and bare bones honesty also gave me hope that he would 'do the right thing', and he did. He was smart, but lacked formal education. He captured the essence of many people in a similar situation. Denise was a victim of circumstance, almost. She continued to wrestle with her past and present and future. I felt sad for them both. I wouldn't trust them to get a coffee, but their intentions were good. To call this film 'science fiction' or 'stoner comedy' is laziness in classification. This is a tragedy. It would have been a great stage play. This film should be shown to kids in grade 11. We are the result of our choices, but we are the victims of circumstance. Meth is horrible drug. Better than Four Good Days. Well done Sam.
I think you need to walk the camino so you can relate to this film. I’ve walked lots of caminos. It changed my life !
Good stuff Alvin Purple NOT! An 800 Metre Pilgrimage? lol Be over in 6 minutes! And poor acting from Chris Haywood?
Hahaha ..thought someone might have picked me up on that one 😅😅
Yeah it was a pleasant surprise to see Martin Lawrence kinda take the lead.
I just saw this. I didn't like the main protagonist at all and he grated on me.But I see that it might be the direction rather than the accomplished actor. Scenery is great in this film and the women save it from complete disaster. books in 90s,remember them as charming. Wish the film was a little more like that.
I liked the Martin Sheen movie. I'd love to do it at some point, if global warming doesn't burn Spain up, or the Muslims don't take it back over.
ooooh global warming burning Spain up and Muslims taking Spain over - fool...
That thumbnail may be the greatest PTSD reaction to a horror movie I've seen, when I was watching the film, I was so frusterated over how bad of a shooter the guy was with the shotgun, that the movie was becoming a comedy, I've gotten more good scenerios in writing fight scenes by flipping a coin than how stupid that guy with the weapon.
Hahaha...thanks. Yep...terrible shooters all around
Yes, have to agree with your review. To me it seemed fake and contrived. I have walked 2 Caminos, and this film does not reflect my experience at all. Perhaps because I don't walk the popular Francis route as the director did, and perhaps I am not walking for the social element. But each person should walk their own Camino, without any expectations or pre-conceived ideas.
Awesome insight and yes...I feel like it is a very personal journey
I agree - I walked the Primitivo (original route) almost 10 years ago and it was a blessing to mostly be alone without the hoards on the Frances route, still plenty to socialise with in the evening but when I hit Melide and the routes joined, I ended up walking my own route south and cut around the south of the airport and it was glorious. I dont think any movie about the camino does it justice. Martin Sheen's The Way only fosters more group tourists rather than real pilgrims
Its always a worry when a review starts with how long the movie was.. 😅 still sounds like fun.. As for a fave, ive never actually seen an entire mad max movie.. 🫢
Hahaha....duration was a bit of a shock to be honest!
Saw the preview, thought it looked interesting, got abit of a being john malcovich vibe.. but maynot THAT quirky.. 😅 cheers adam, 6.5 isnt too bad 👌
Movie was so bad and predictable
Just watch the documentary, it was so well done, and covers everything.
It's amazing!!!

Hey, since you already saw the entire movie at the end, I was curious about this and wanted to know by asking you about who are the three actors who played Man in the Mask, Dollface and Pin-Up Girl in the movie. according to the credits?
IMDB has the credits as follows: Matus Lajcak Scarecrow Double (as Matúš Lajčák) Olivia Kreutzova Dollface Double Letizia Fabbri Pin-Up Double There's no listing as to the actual actors but, one could say that it's these people above.
To be honest, I also wasn't overly interested in who played them because I didn't engage enough with anyone in the movie😬
Sooooo idiot see movie and complains about the killers having no motive yet has never seen the original…that’s the whole point of the movie
I really enjoyed this movie. It was different and I love movies where I am constantly saying, what's going on?!?!
Love that! Me too!
Back to Black was boring liked the actress but the movie was trash
They be Luke Evans as the bad guy in the they barley maid him intimidating in the bad guy.
The best biopic ever is the Tina Turner biopic, What's Love Got to Do with it. No question.
Great great shout!
We just love the Film freak xx
Totally agree with this review. My partner and I have walked the Camino 3 times , the French way twice and the Camino Norte, and in 2025 are walking the via de la plata from Seville. It’s an addiction! Why do we walk it? For the adventure, the challenge, the joy and simplicity of life when you are on the Camino. They are truly the happiest days of my life. Even when I’m tired and the mountains are sooo high and I’m tired, I love it and am so filled with the desire to jump on a plane and start tomorrow!
I was hoping it was more cutthroat, less cheesy & shows what Amy truly struggled and went through, sort of “Lady sings blue” movie Diana Ross made for Billie Holiday but knew todays Cinemas are too sensitive to put out such a film. But anything Amy I will support to keep her legacy! I’ll still go check it out.
Brilliant film and an excellent review Adam. Will be rewatching with the family at Xmas. Will also be rereading Meditations now.
Thank you....good idea...I might do the same😄😄
Is it better as a cinematic release adam, or should i wait for streaming? Also, probably my fave "stunt" scene would have to be the ballbearing explosion in the hugh jackman hit Swordfish.. :)
YASSSSS...Hugh really got them bearings on his balls there...😆. I'll always recommend a cinema outing and this will play great in a packed house. Just a few structural and technical problems hence the score.
I adored Amy Winehouse & will NEVER forget the day she died.....I wept for days & I still tear up when listening to her songs💔 I went to the cinema to see 'Amy' in 2015....most of the cinema cried for her - it was so moving and I felt it was appropriately respectful to Amy & her legacy. It laid bare those who failed her (yes, Amy was self-destructive, but at her age what the hell does anyone expect - she was put into situations that no one should be forced in to.) I WILL NOT BE GOING TO SEE THIS DISRESPECTFUL CHARADE! I get the actress wanted to 'be' Amy, but to even try to be a 'karaoke Amy' is beyond belief! Amy's voice was SO unique - literally one of a kind that we'll never see again in our lifetime. Amy was bold, unapologetic, unfiltered, raw, passionate, stylish, 'lost' & vulnerable, but with THAT VOICE she blew the world away - singing was like breathing to her - everything about her was so ICONIC! She would've been so offended with an actress imitating her voice & a 'film' portraying a bland, diluted version of her life. Amy was a dichotomy and Asif Kapadia's film captured the essence of her soul. R.I.P. sweet Amy - we miss you💔
Beautiful comments. Yes....singular voice....phenomenonal talent....tragic loss....forever a legend that should be respected. 👍🙏
I love walk the line and a star is born
I'm waiting for it to be released in May in America
Wow...that's a long time to wait!!
Agree ❤❤
I DONT LIKE MARISA AS AMY... SORRY...I DONT THINK SHE IS THE BEST FOR
The Bohemian Rhapsody inaccuracies were so much worse in comparison but yeah they tried to paint it in a more positive light although yeah, off the back of performances, it’s pretty good. Although biopics are biopics and nowhere near as factual as documentaries just like Bob Marley: One Love, which only told a small fraction of his story, not the full story. If you want a good quality biopic, watch Control about Joy Division’s Ian Curtis 🔥
My daughter is a minor and asked me to take her to see him because she loves his music, can I go without problems?
Hello. There is some language, drug use and brief nudity. To be honest, it's all pretty tame and all depictions of drug taking are very brief and not explicit. The film is MA+15 in Australia so it just depends how you feel about rating systems.
I seen the movie. Yes it was safe. From interviews and footage i have seen amy give. She played amy very well. But did not capture her to essence or her personality to perfection? Amy was a lot rougher around the Edges. And there was nothing wrong with that, Amy was amy what you seen is what you got from her.. And i loved her for that.she was a ticking time bomb. And there was no way anyone was going to stop her not even her parents or her nan. My dad was an alcoholic. My brother and cousin both died young from alcohol. So i could relate to amys story. And i suffered as a result of alcohol. Any assocation with alcohol is devastation on everyone involved the whole family not just the alcholic.. So thats where judgment should be focused on, not on amy? she was just a human being like us all.. And yes we all make mistakes in life.. But some of us pay with our lives. R. I. P. Amy..
I’m a filmmaker and read all books on Amy. This movie was enjoyable, it’s more targeted at teen girls though, because it is about love mostly. But I anticipated a more ruthless Christian F style thing and really wanted to see some hardcore scenes from Taylor James book.
I knew few friends in common with Amy so I knew her before and after the fame, her family was awful to her, they are the reason she is not around us anymore, she became their cash cow and still is , she was very sweet and she needed a good support system around her because that level of fame was extremely distressing for her, but like it happen with those superstars that died young, they are surrounded by vampires that will do whatever the star ask so the money can keep coming regardless the state of the person, the reason I won’t watch the film because is more on the pocket of her terrible father that did nothing but exploit his daughter success
Great comments and yes...this did feel like some members of the family were trying to push a very different agenda than the truth.
Simply not true, her family tried to help her on a number of occasions. She refused rehab a few times. No one could force Amy to go, addicts can only get help when they admit they have a problem and genuinely want help. Amy gave up drugs and got clean, she was clean for 3 years. The problem was she swapped one addiction of drugs for another in the form of alcohol. It was Blake who introduced Amy to drugs, it wasn't her family, who are still grieving to this day. That being said, I will not go to the cinema to watch the movie, just in the trailer alone I have seen inaccurate portrayals and made up scenes.
@@DavidJames-ro2bl well I know people that knew her her whole life and I met many people that knew her intimately and they all have the same opinion, but you know best of course
@@TIVOSTUDIOS of course you do, someone on the Internet says they knew a famous person, must be true. Even if that's the case tho, you literally said "all have the same opinion" literally an opinion.
@@DavidJames-ro2bl sure luv , whatever you say, don’t know you don’t care
( 3:08 ) Two studio albums, and one posthumous album in 2011, but it feels like there should be more!😢
Yeah the Taylor Johnson relationship is extremely strange. Great video mate off of the cuff
🙏
Why is Sam Taylor Johnson still aloud to make films?!! Her track record is abysmal
Elvis, with Austin Butler was definitely the best bio pic made so far.
