HVAC Condenser coil change out
In this video we show the process of changing out condenser coil in a split system. The original coil had a restriction and was causing the system to shutdown on high head pressure.

HVAC new installation

In this video we perform various tasks associated with installing a new hvac system.
No vacuum decay testing? Did I miss it?
Tomorrow I get to do one first time recovering refrigerant feeling kinda nervous though!!!
Good job 😊😊
Good job but definitely you probably need to start wrapping that King valve better safe than sorry
I always have issues with valve cores. You shot that liquid side out,? Every time I see a York, I start getting nervous.
Put the drier inside like you are supposed to. Hacks.
First thing I see is the grass between the house and AC unit. Far too easy to damage the line set with a lawnmower or something. Personally, I would put down rock mulch in that area.
Phone call break!!!! Genius
Dude… youre a beast!!! No gloves on them fins!!!! Didn’t take the case off, and pulled it straight out! move to the south of Mississippi and let’s team up
Oh! That’s those micro channel coils. They have so many issues that I’ve seen. From leaks to clogs. Great video man!
You Mean your brazing with silfos.are you using 6% silver
Just burn that valve up. No water, no rag. Just burn it up. No need for a valve after you leave.
Very informative 👏🏿 👌🏿 thank you for sharing 👍🏿 🇯🇲
How much. does this cost
average cost is around $1200. Wonder if it's smart just to get a completely new unit.
This is the best video of a condenser coil replacement on UA-cam, hands down. Thank you.
What is the black can on the small line?
Thanks for sharing the video. I have a question. I see a lot of condenser units right up against the house. I read that they should be at least 2 feet away from the house What is the proper distance a condenser unit should be away from a house?
The minimum clearance around the unit is listed in the installation instructions. I believe this one was around 24” away from the house. Most of them are 18” minimum I believe
@@stephenbentley8603 Thanks for your answer. There needs to be enough room to get to the electrical parts inside the condenser for service. The unit also needs to be able to properly breathe. This is why I was wondering what the minimum was.
Please, protect the valves if your watching this so not to burn the service ports that have a rubber gasket in the valve as you would when removing the valve core so not to overheat. This would work if your pro at brazing but most aren't as good and take longer to heat up which will cause the service ports to fail in a few years if not sooner.
Sometimes the best way to learn is to fuck it up (sticks in your memory best, not that its the best way to learn). I learned the hard way to remove shraeder cores. Was a real squirter when I took the hose off. Always keep core removal tools on hand!
Good video... where are you guys located ?
We are in east TN
Man I wish I was allowed to install units 24 inches off the wall.
Most of the county codes we are in don’t even have requirements on how close they are. I’ve worked on a unit that was 6” from the house and it was ridiculous
Nice work, I'd definitely wrap those valves though, what size tip do you use on your torch? Kudos for flowing Nitrogen!
Depending on what size I’m brazing I either use a 0 or 2 for the most part
The only thing I can say. Wrap your valves with a wet rag or store welding paste. Yes you used accetlye/ oxygen. But you ALWAYS have to protect valves. And also that copper going into the house. Other wise kudos for using pressure during finish rough in. I always did incase a screw or nail hit the pipe.
I'm india
Best job sir cari on bee smile good 😊
Congratulations on the excellent work, I'm a refrigeration and air conditioning technician in Brazil, I do the same job, I have the dream of going to work with air conditioning in Florida, could you answer me if it's easy to work for an air conditioning technician in Florida, it can be helper's job
Overall I don’t believe that hvac is a hard trade in the residential scope. There can be some challenging things happen but most often they are common problems. In Florida it’s mostly cooling systems from what I understand so they should be fairly easy to learn.
@@stephenbentley8603 I already know how to work with all the general refrigeration part in Brazil I have been working in the area for 8 years I know how to do installation and all maintenance in general in air conditioning I have knowledge in machines from green trane hitachi Springer and several other brands of air conditioning equipment I really want to go work in the United States I want to go live there to work in the area do you know how to answer me if American companies or American technicians give the opportunity to work for Brazilian immigrants?
How much will this cost to install central and heat a home that’s 1200 square feet
It varies based on what you want to put in and the difficulty of the installation. I’d say contact a local company to come give you a quote.
Not attempting to talk smack by any means. But, not properly protecting the filter drier from high heat can cause the outside paint to eventually chip away and leaving the drier to be unprotected from the elements which could potentially lead to rusting and eventually forming leaks. I've seen it far too many times. But, great job!
STEVEIE WONDER IS BLIND HE CAN WELD BETTER
Good idea. Ive honestly never seen a filter drier leak through the steel. Ive seen 20+ year old units on rooftops not leaking there. But still a really wise idea. Could always carry blue and black paint markers and touch up after.
Good job , need to wrap the king valve
Thanks for the info and thanks for the comment. We lost the back part of the footage on this job but we’re working on getting more ready for upload.
