First, I'll admit I love these movies. I can easily watch them over and over again. I never read the books. Honestly, I didn't know they existed until after I began watching these on Netflix. Second, I love the edit you made. I'm also happy it included all 5. I have not come across many of these that have. It made me emotional. These movies always do!

Not to be that person who overanalyzes stuff but I just have to this once. English was one of my favourite courses in school for a reason lol- One quote that stood out to me from the books, which I don’t see mentioned often, but was something that I thought spoke volumes about the relationship that they shared was; “Kaz knew the instant he made his mistake. They’d all known it might come to this. He should have trusted his crew. His eyes should have stayed trained on Van Eck. Instead, in that moment of threat, when he should have thought only of the fight, he looked at Inej.” I will never not love this book, and this quote is one of my personal favourites. One of Kaz’s biggest things in his gang was trust, and trusting one another. And yes, he had severe trauma and basically had a hard shell, but he also cared for his crows - especially Inej, obviously. So the fact that - within himself - he knew he’d made the mistake of looking at her, really says something to me. Despite what was going on, he turned to her, presumably to make sure she was ok, or to give reassurance, or something.. and it cost him. But I think it made him more determined because now he was going to get his girl back, on top of the money they were owed :) PS. If u read all of this, you are a gem.. thank you for letting me ramble lmao

The way Kaz mentioned how “no one’s ever smart enough to look for the real one” in reference to his ‘tell’ - which was Inej - because they always just saw the limp and cane as one of his his biggest weaknesses 😭😭 Not to mention that small second of peace he felt - that you could even see in his eyes - before he came to; when Inej had basically pulled him out of his hell.. he was ok for just one moment, before ultimately reverting back to pushing away any physical touch as a trauma response :(
