yeah that's kinda the idea behind it, more of a streamlined os but you can still exit to the normal bios or load opl etc. it's still a modded ps2 afterall.

you may want to make sure you have the new fan profile enabled in the steam deck settings, as well as go through the simple process of installing and setting up CryoUtilities. as far as the game settings go, i have them set to good because i'm also recording the gameplay using steams new recording feature but when playing normally i would have them higher with no issues. i'm also playing mine docked and in desktop mode so i'm assuming it's running at full tdp. mine is also the lcd one, i bought it on release.

for actual openmenu themes use the included 'Easy OpenMenu Theme Creator' otherwise if you use my 'GDMenu HD Theme Manager' that will only allow you to apply GDMenu themes to OpenMenu for the 'Scroll' (GDMenu) layout style. i.imgur.com/zJjIas1.png i also pre-apply a ton of themes for both GDMenu and OpenMenu, just delete OpenMenu from your sd card which is the 01 folder and use the included 'GDEMU Card Manager' to reapply it and you should have a load of themes to choose from in both the OpenMenu and GDMenu style layout. with 'Easy OpenMenu Theme Creator' you can click a theme that's already made from the list and you should be able to apply it to theme 1 to 9, you can view these by clicking 'View Current' in the top left, otherwise you want to add the theme files into 'SD Card Managers/GDMENU Card Manager/tools/openMenu/menu_data/theme/' then one of the cust_0 to cust_9 folders.

this is always going to happen because it's not signed by microsoft and it essentially contains a keygen, it's a false positive so just ignore it.

@@razorx2024 Figured it out. I was using vms files I extracted using dreamshell. Extracting them from a full vmu dump using vmuexplorer solved that. Guess I needed both the vmi and vms files? Thanks to this, I was able to fix my lvl 87 pso save that I couldn't get to boot for ages :)

@@dogsauce19 yeah you need both, and yes when dumping your save through dreamshell you want to do a full dump, for whatever reason dreamshell only gives you the .vms and not a .vmi as well if you choose to dump just the save.

i have a version i did for myself like that but because people still play this game online i didn't want to release those options, however i will say if you know your way around a hex editor you could edit the decrypted file and do all of that stuff

try downloading it with a different browser or something like JDownloader2 to bypass that if you're having issues. or if you chat to me on discord i could send you it on there.

yeah once you've played it a few times it's pretty easy to remember the answers, there isn't a huge variety but i was still really happy doing it in one go

You forgot to say that unlike the console versions, the PC version has a larger base of questions.

it's 3d printed as the metal ones available don't have options for the button i added to switch screens and they also expect you to remove the touchscreen part of the bottom screen and replace it with a glass one i believe so you can only play GBA at that point. i wanted to be able to do both.

@@lcgiv4u that's true, easily taken care of though 🙂 i can have none in or i can change the shell on my flashcart for a low profile one that makes it flush with the ds lite but it's no big deal. honestly you'd be surprised how good it feels when holding it, the ds lite is so thin and light especially without the top screen. i mainly wanted to make this for fun and i'm glad i did, it turned out great.
