Yes we love Penny as well. It's amazing. But the fishing used to be a lot better a few years ago, it's becoming a popular spot these days.

Hey Janine, we headed up exactly then, for 6 weeks. We left early August and got home mid Sep. Are you taking a boat?

I would definitely recommend fishing Cape mellville/Princess Charlotte Bay and the Jardine, I would give Penny a miss and go to Mapoon and fish the Wenlock.

@@Th3Boonies no boat this trip unfortunately. But also no set time frame. Hopefully it will be good with just fishing off the bank. Where are you guys from or based ?

We are based out of Mackay. So we're very much north Qld. Well if you have no set time frame, I would definitely be doing the Gulf, if you're interested in fishing, it's a lot better then the Cape. We're doing the NT at the end of next month.. we're not taking a boat, but will probably hire one. You could do the same, if I was to say anywhere, Hire one from Weipa.. don't worry about fishing the Annie River... it's below average ( it's the northern end of Princess Charlotte bay) it has no crabs, and probably the most amount of crocs we have seen in a system haha. You'll have a lot of fun on the Tele, take a week and enjoy it, it's the best part of the trip. Definitely, fish the Wenlock, walk the banks and have a blast.

Sooo much! I’m in the middle of putting in Bluetooth switching for lighting, twin compressor, high output alternator, more storage in the back and tidying up a few old bits that need replacing. Just making a better touring vehicle. Pretty keen to show the finished product soon 👌🏻

Oh yes, and what do you think will be the best place in the Territory we can do a walk around? I can't wait, what 12v compressor did you go?

Hey Christina, we were running 18psi But those tires have a very soft sidewall. After watching this video with Shelley, we have noticed a lot of how we cam do things better, I'll definitely film a lot more on the camera's rather then the gopros. And have better quality audio.

Hey Man! Thanks heaps for your reply and your time to go into so much detail ! Definitely some good info there. I've opted for the UFI fan upgrade, I just ordered a 3 core copper/brass radiator, so I'll be doing an install on it soon. In terms with the engine, I really wanted to push it up a little and run around 220hp, so we went the 12mm pump, new injectors, 21L ufi turbo, hiflo intake manifold and a big front mount intercooler with 3" piping, it won't be getting worked hard and driven like a knob head. It already had a 3" exhaust straight through and Meredith Metalworks are doing a 5" snorkel and airbox combo for us as well to really let it breathe. I've got myself a set of 4.3 diff centres to help with the low range lag on the hills and to help it not want to stall, I'll throw in a set of marks 4wd 75% reductions and I think it'll be a pretty good weapon. I'm thinking about doing the 5link 4" Superior lift but that might be a little while down the road as that kit is quite $$$$ What's your thoughts?

That sounds like an awesome build mate, will follow it see it through. The thing to watch out for is harmonics with these TDs I’ve gone to the extreme with billet internals but you can probably get away with a lightened balanced flywheel; The steel from Npc is a good option, (The Ali we found doesn’t like low revs.) And make sure you either have a good condition harmonic balancer or upgrade; I went with the Ross performance one. This is all to save your crank. 5 link would be insane for sure, it’s a hell of an investment though. I’ve just done steering arms and some dobinsons MRR shocks and coils with extended bumps and sway bars. Brother has the full superior kit, Honestly mine handles nicer in every situation other than crazy flexy tracks so it just depends what you are into. I Mainly do beach or sand work. You can get a good 4” kit for relatively cheap in the mean time and if you decide you need more in the future it’s no big loss.

All sounds great might be an option for the meantime, only thing is my handbrake (Shelley) only likes to do things once, I don't know how I can justify to her, buying new suspension then saving for the superior kit she might query as to why I did it twice.. we have had this discussion about the diffs, the motor build and the reduction gears haha. Yes all of the above, I've organised new 4.3 diff centres to put in, I'll get lockers at the same time, new tray and canopy is currently being built by the guys in Cairns, reduction gears definitely 75% from marks4wd and the engine gets a birthday at the end of the month! 😁
