Tone loc 😂- luv this kit I got it for a real good price at GC so I added a Pearl fat and skinny snare and used it as a floor Tom. I use the included snare as a rack Tom and I use a very nice Dennis Chambers signature drum cause it has a lot of crack etc. not the standard look but it gets the job done and sounds good!!!

From the surviving known DeKleist Musical Instrument Mfg Co and Wurlitzer factory records for band organs, we know that approx. 20 to 24 style 155 "Monster" band organs were made between 1904 and about 1909 or 1910 when the model was discontinued. These records are from 1902 to 1945, excepting the year 1907 for which shipping info is currently missing. Most of the few 155s whose whereabouts or history we know today (extant or destroyed) were sold to roller skating rinks. Both of the other two extant were used in that way: The one in Wisconsin was in a skating rink in Flat Rock, Michigan, and when it was sold, its case remained in the rink building as part of the wall. So the current owner had a new proper replica cabinet made. The one now in Arkansas was originally in a rink in Massillon, Ohio, before being replaced by some sort of 165-format organ, whose subsequent whereabouts / existence I am still trying to trace (former owner, the late Gordon Forcier of Minnesota, had more info, but he passed away years ago). The 155 model was their second-largest general style at the time, with 100 keys (well, holes in the tracker bar) and 95 playing notes: 10 bass, 10 trombone, 11 accompaniment, 21 trumpet, 25 clarinet/melody, and 18 piccolo notes. The scale is mostly chromatic, excepting a few ommitted accidentals, mostly in the low bass and accompaniment. It is much more chromatic than the majority of Wurlitzer band organ styles/scales built. This paper roll model (also known in shipping records as style "100-key") followed the earlier style "28-B" paper roll organ, which must have been a slightly modified version of the style "28-A" cylinder organ, which had a similar note scale and instrumentation, but different front / pipe layout, and different divisions of notes. It seems that fewer 28-As may have been built (one is known to survive, known by the nickname "Sadie Mae") but until we turn up the missing 1892-1902 North Tonawanda Barrel Organ Factory (NTBOF) shipping records, which would be very enlightening, we won't know for sure how many of each of the early cylinder organ models were actually built, since for whatever reason, the survival rate of these early organs is much lower than the later ones. The only larger model at the time the Monster was built, was the style "119-key" cylinder organ (of which two were known to have been built in 1904 and 1905), and its successor: the style 160 "mammoth" which had 117 playing notes and 122 holes in the tracker bar for the paper roll version. Only 3 Mammoths are known to have been built (in 1907, and two in 1909) with just one "119-key" and one true "Mammoth" known today. The most popular DeKleist/Wurlitzer organ chassis / model, up until about 1920, was the style 18 cylinder organ (41-key), which in the paper roll version with drums first built in 1906, was known as the style "125" (also in rarer variants as the 18-A, 18-B, 18-C, 18-D, 105 (early) and 127). Possibly over 1,000 of this chassis type of organ was built, or about 1/4 of all NTBOF/DeKleist/Wurlitzer band organs ever made. Hope this info helps!

I have this kit. I replaced the kick head with a evans blk onyx emad. Sounds much deeper. Snare drum needs a real throw- off instead of the screw. Great kit for rehearsal or busking.

Could have been an interesting and helpful video, except that nearly every single step was impossible to see because your hand blocked the view or you performed the step outside of the camera frame. 😂

I found the part on the accents in this video was exactly what I was looking for (after a dozen of others). Is there a name for the beat where the accent is on the downbeat, the 2 (and the 4)? There are some songs that have this, most clearly (not the usual suspect) Bang-a-boomerang by ABBA. Is that stil a trainbeat? When you make it in a DAW, you only need to use two sets of three accents (&-e-2 and &-e-4); it creates a nice rolling feeling. So, does it have name? It's the most 'train' of them all, I think 😉 snare 1-e-&-e-2-e-&-e-3-e-&-e-4-e-&-e ____x-x-x __________x-x-x kick X_______X______X______X______

Can you put toms and other cymbals on the snare arm and/or attach the cymbal stand tom mounts on the bass drum/snare mount? I'm asking because I need to get a drum set for playing metal that's relatively cheap (under £200) and will fit in my ridiculously tiny room (maybe like 3m*3m which is already half occupied by a bed and a chair).
