Leo Builds It
Приєднався 22 вер 2015
Well, the short story is that I've had a great deal of exposure to different trades throughout my time on this planet. So as I learn new things, assimilate the new information, learn the process and then while still working in the parameters of the object or style I was trying to emulate, I end up modifying it to suit my needs. In an effort to stay as genuine as possible, a little about my background, I'm a computer nerd. This will be a bumpy ride through my history of works. But mostly I hope that we both learn something, and that we both get something out of these videos. Stuff I like to do in no particular order: Carpentry, Wood Working, Furniture Making, Boating, Fishing, Fix Cars, Electronics, PC Repair, Renewable Energy, Design, Proof of Concept or Prototyping, Tiny House Living, Construction, and Remodeling.

What king of material did you use to cover the foam board? Thanks
@@MsQuickshift regular interior latex paint. But I painted about 5 maybe 6 layers of paint on it before using polyester boat resin on it.
Gonna steal your project, sorry 😂
It’s ok, I wouldn’t have shared the cut list verbally if I didn’t want you to do one for yourself.
Cool build. Imagine with really good timber and more time what you could accomplish. 😊
@@VengeanceFalls thanks for the comment. I’m just a hobbyist woodworker, working out of a 10x12 shed. With better lumber anything is possible but the tools required to achieve that level of precision is difficult to get with the space requirements for the right tools. Right now, lol.
Pcs still on ebay?
4 have sold so far. Gotta order more SSDs.
Amen wish you many blessings and healing in the preshious amen
Hello! I really liked the channel , I was playing a game called bonk when your son told me about your youtube channel , he is a really nice person in-game , your channel specializes in DIY but if you ever decide to open a gaming one I will support you , like&sub from Algeria :)
which one?
@@leobuildsit your kid told us that he wanted to open a gaming channel with you , his in-game name is "happyness"
@@leobuildsit He told us he was 9 years old
your kid told me he thinks his dad is fat on a video game
which kid?
@@leobuildsit HE didn't say you were fat he was actually praising you and telling us about your channel and that you are a youtuber
i have feelings for you leo...

Nice, what was the website?
I found it on GovDeals.com
La satisfacción del deber cumplido. Perros: nunca más hoyos.
Cant wait to see the first run.i usually test the transom but standing on the motors cavitation plate and bounce on it a few times.upto 3/16 flex on the transom is normal. Id rather see it fail on land than in the water. This test also test your motors rubber isolator mounts.if the motor flexes more than 1/2".....mounts are worn.
Must be nice to be able to do that, but I’m 360 lbs of pure awesomeness and if I tried that the trailer would tip up.
@@leobuildsit Im 190lbs,you could put some of your weight.but from the looks of it,your transom is strong.shouldnt have any worries.
Still working good for you?
It did while I had it. A few months after I was done with the boat. I ended up selling it. And the boat got a Mariner.
Thanks appreciate it what year is your outboard
That Mercury was an 86 I believe.
What it did you buy? And from where?i have same motor
Well considering it was done 3 years ago. I got made sure my outboard was able to take a starter. The starter can be found in the link below: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008Y3SDI6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 The flywheel I found on ebay using the following part number: 8274A6 - I got lucky to find one with an attached ring gear. And the starting solenoid below is the one I used: www.ebay.com/itm/264510976232 Hope this helps you with your project.
Stay close to shore if you don't add foam
I intend on using it for lakes and rivers
Home built projects are great because they put you ij the frame of mind to think through your personal circumstances and what you would specifically prefer, instead of buying something mass produced like a car and making a bunch of tradeoffs where you adjust yourself to the machine. The next step is realising you can make adjustments to those mass produced things.
Why do you sound scared bro! Just do it!!
Wood gives you the opportunity to do it better in a few years ! Keep grindin
Ever finish this stove? I have a cast iorn wood stove, but been thinking bout building 1 i can leave in my woods. Be cool to see your end results.
I do! There are other videos on it. I live in Florida so there’s no real need for a wood burning stove out here. I still have plans for adding the cooktop but that’s on the back burner for now.
Just dont leave your tools outside period
Wall painted looks great
I think so too!
Paint
Excellent... best wishe
Thanks
Nice work man glad it worked out
Thanks again!
What I would say as a rv mechanic, is high pressure leak test for structural failure, very low pressure leak test about 7psi for actual volume leaks. Like the video
thanks for the info, I appreciate it.
Slow down on your welds and filled up more puddle. You're moving way too fast and not letting the heat liquify the steel. It looks like you're using 110 volt unit. Just keep it on the material for another second or two. You want it to sound like you're frying bacon
Thanks for the tips!
Looks Burnt !
Talk to much 😮
Good score 👍
Use the money you saved to buy some nail clippers, and you can't even close the box right with the crocks on.
What’s with the hate dude?
Wow im going to buy some right now thanks man!!
Any time!
I did the same thing but with lawn sprinkler equipment. I got $300 in tubing and connectors for $35 and the store manager said I was wrong and they couldn't sell me the stuff....I said I bought it online already. I'm just here to pick it up. He complained and gave me my stuff.
They tried the the same thing with me but they still honored their website’s price.
Nice man haha
Thanks 😅
Ok I'll go first. Think think think. Adapt and overcome. Perfect solution for a temporary lack of funds! Give a, thinking man, a minute or two, to think on something, no matter what, he will find another, solution. Or perhaps a better solution. Now he's going boating. And can afford more bait. Let's be clear tho, if your not mechanically inclined or have not been in our around, at least one or two tradesman of any construction trade, you will NOT BE ' inclined, your not gonna fix it properly'. Or if your forced to deal with things that do not come with instructions. You will probably fail on a good solution. Along with the fact that, you have no imagination. You will not adapt and overcome. No job but he is working!! I think that would be the clue, to who or what kind of man he is. Oh and idle hands are the hands of the devil.
Thanks for thewords of encouragement.
master cut?
You should not burn wood that has been painted.

Hey Necro keep up the hard work
First time I’ve seen someone use a trash can. My granddad can attach a water hose to his engine so I thought all of them could do that😅🤣
Well I have ear muffs for outboards but the water inlet is about a 1/4” above the cavitation plate so unfortunately it has to get submerged for it to pump water. One of my projects is to setup a test tank for outboards that I’ll work on after this one.
@@leobuildsit the bastards need ALOT of water hahaha i remember yamaha outboards outpumping the hose alot of the times.... Tanks a beauty, until a heavy outboard comes along and you need a crane and 2 people to mount it 😂
I thought you were gonna say you lost your pencil
I've got 50 pencils in a box, because I lose them too.
No bloody clue how I ended up here, but well done to you sir. Good effort in getting this lawn care business going. How about another update vid?
Thanks for the encouragement.
i think i have that motor now
Same model or the exact same outboard?
@@leobuildsit exact same
just got the same outboard. Could you tell me which excat flywheel and start you used?
The starter: Rareelectrical STARTER MOTOR COMPATIBLE WITH MARINER MERCURY OUTBOARD 9.9EL 9.9ELRC 9.9ELRC SM52160 50-90983A www.amazon.com/dp/B008Y3SDI6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_8GW6RR7354GHV5G0EH4S?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 And the flywheel: 8274A6 9301 for a 25 HP Mercury outboard
I also used a $10 lawn tractor starter solenoid and a push button momentary switch.
Thank you for this video I now know what I must do.
Glad it was helpful!
