ERDC Ship Simulator and Francis Scott Key Bridge Response
Leveraging the unique capabilities of the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC), the North Atlantic Division and the Baltimore District are one step closer to reopening commercial shipping operations in Baltimore.
Weeks after a cargo ship collided with the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore, tragically killing six and shutting down one of the nation’s busiest commercial port operations, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has validated plans to open a bypass channel, working with ERDC and the Association of Maryland Pilots.
While narrower and shallower, the bypass channel will soon allow large commercial vessels to enter and exit the port, while not interfering with vital salvage operations. But before the first ship makes the transit, the new route and the placement of buoys were tested by ERDC’s Ship/Tow Simulator, part of the Coastal and Hydraulics Laboratory.

Aquatic Plant Control Research Program International Biocontrol Collaboration

Millions of acres of surface water nationwide are infested with non-indigenous, problem-causing aquatic plants like Eurasian watermilfoil, hydrilla and yellow floating heart. These plants, with no natural enemies in the United States, can be detrimental to our aquatic ecosystems - interfering with navigation, flood control, hydropower production and waterborne recreation. The U.S. Army Corps of...

I agree, very annoying. But I wouldn’t consider it music.
The noise (music?) is annoying, and you really need a better voice. Overall, great idea for a video, poorly created.
Informative and interesting. That background music is a distraction that’s just not needed.
seems background music is taking over. must be teaching it in schools as prevalent as it's becoming. and i suffered through it w/o thinking to use CC and mute, duh.
Good info but agreed, background music distractive and unnecessary.
Very annoying !
Take out the music or lower the volume on the music.
so realistic..... everywhere placed plates for tank//// but its not testdrive in dirt

You mean “how did the Abrams destroy the T-72?” It goes like this. Circa OIF, 2003, our Abrams is steaming along the desert flat area at a rapid 40mph, kicking up a cloud of dust. Up ahead are some dug in, hull down Republican Guard Lion Of Babylon T-72s. Commander: “Gunner, sabot, tank” Gunner: “Identified, range one nine hundred” Commander: “Driver, move out” Loader: “Up!” Commander: “Fire” Gunner: “ON THE WAAAAAAAAAY!!!!!!” BOOM. The sabot round arrows on a flat trajectory to a point just underneath the T-72’s gun on the turret ring. It goes straight through and detonates a tank round stored in the auto loader. The turret is blown forty feet into the air by a deafening explosion. That’s how the Abrams kills T-72s.
Так с ним и дороги возить нужно 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Writing a paper for ILE. Does anyone know if the Army actually put this Greywater recycling prototype into production? My assignment requires me to analyze a currently existing gap/recommend a materiel solution..trying to determine if the Army has already "Filled" this gap.

@@chrisbacon3071not to take the ruskie side…but…The abrams did have like, 80? Prototypes, probably the most of any tank, just to make it work, and its still not the best in the world. Be it, far better than any russian tank hands down, but it’s not necessarily good either
@@cherrytree2784 I’m not taking the rusbots side at all, I mean my profile pic is literally to defend against russia after all.

Is this supposed to make people want to join DARPA? Is this what interests young people today, playing in wave pools and playing with quad copters? Meanwhile, China is building time-viewing devices and fusion reactors. DARPA won't even let you play with their quad copters without a Ph.D., so I guess that rules out most of the youtube viewing audience. Best of luck in your endeavors, DARPA.

Thank you for taking the time to encourage this... as a 2 War Marine Combat Veteran... you are correct, its meaning has more gravity. Honoring them by telling of their heroism and actions on the battlefield is how I carry on their memory and honor their service. Thanks again...
Great to see the level of consideration and detail going into the layers of informed decision analysis. In the Marine Corps we had a Phrase called "Field Expedient" wherein the challenge was fastest and best solution, able to evolve on the fly as the initial plan reveals the limitations or opportunities, only evident by moving forward, with the best information at the time... I Love that you are working in a similar adaptive, productive, efficient, led by common sense, methodology. Informing decisions moment by moment as a skillset is handy... Having a few more minutes days or months to gather more information is very nice... I'm teaching my Kids this skillset to make them better "understanders" of the problems and equip them with a matrix of options to move forward. Semper Fi.
Great work!
Thank you!
