Thats the year I got married and guess where we went on honeymoon? You got it, Blackpool! 😊
Wow more fun in past
They did a soft opening of this a few days before and I was lucky enough to get on, we were on the second ever train open to the public. Brilliant memories, thanks for the video.
Bonito aparato
Went here in 2003 when we went to germany with army cadets , i was 14 absolutely loved it. Video brings back a fair few memories. Was watching your pleasure beach 1993 video then stumbled across this one
Surprising how clean and fresh all the rides look, even though some of them were very old even back then they appear to look after them a lot better than they do now. I've never seen a log flume trough so clean, and even the wooden coasters are pristine white!
Superb footage. I recall those cracking views of the Big Dipper and Log Flume from right at the top of the Giant Slide beside the Turtle Chase. Bliss!
Вітаю ! корпус метал чи пластик ?
One były pół na pół metal plastik mam takiego do dziś,bo właśnie znalazłem go w szafie po 25 latach tylko kabla słuchawkowego nie mogę znaleźć
Whatever happened to Folkestone? There is nothing on the promenade today.
I loved it x
Great vid...thanks for the fond memories.
Hi Ian, awesome stuff here! So rare to find park videos of this quality from the early 2000's. Excellent camcorder cinematography work :) I'm making a UA-cam video series on roller coaster history and was hoping to use portions of this video for clips, specifically your offride footage of Superman Ride of Steel. I would credit your channel in the video and the description. Let me know if that would be alright! Thanks so much and looing forward to checking out the rest of your videos! - John
Hi John, I’m glad you found my old videos interesting! We made these videos for our own amusement back in the day, so it’s nice that they are now finding a wider audience thanks to UA-cam. I’d be happy for you to use any footage you like. I shall look forward to seeing your finished video! Thanks again for taking the time to watch my videos and for asking permission for the clips. A lot of people don’t ask! Ian
2:29 Damn son! The turtle chase! That was a Kickass ride
I got stuck on the end for my first go an nearly shxt myself.
6:58 Awesome Vampire Roller Coaster At Chessington World Of Adventures Theme Park Near London In England In The United Kingdom. Thanks Mate. Xxxx ❤🇬🇧
Man the length of that cue. When did you finally get to ride it 2015? :D
Just seen this, it really does demonstrate how much better the scenic railway was then, than the facsimile rebuilt version. It was definitely faster (there are mag brakes on it now, even though it still has a brakeman), mind you the scenic railway is currently shut after sustaining some damage recently. This was such a great time for the park, they used to to a combined entry, rail ticket, which from made it really accessible for many teenagers in Kent. I wonder if one of the UA-camrs, that use AI to improve really old films could work wonders with this.
Personally I like that idea of pay to enter because then you get free infinite rides, until closing.
hey, when you went to Gulliver's world, by any chance, did you get any footage of the hard luck bear show? if you have, id be thankful to see it! thanks!
What a brilliant video!
REV looked quicker in this than it does today
Back when they were pushing boundaries and not building hotels. Many good memories in the 90's coming here as a kid with my family...Beaver creek and the zipper dipper, onto Avalanche and eventually the big one. Simpler times.
You’ve changed so much
Brings back some amazing memories !! I remember you could get a special train ticket that included entry to Bembom brothers. This place was well ahead of its time loved the scenic railway 🎉 😎 On one visit me and 3 mates got matching tattoos at the tattoo parlour next door none of us had id we thought we was so cool 😂😂 Happy times !!
This was the end of my era, mid eighties to mid nineties onc3 a year, loved it, very happy times and great to watch, thanks for sharing, great picture quality too and a steady hand! 👍👍👍✌️
Why did the looping star go
The back few rows on The Ultimate were absolutely brutal on your stomach 🥴. It really wasn’t pleasant.
Brought back so many memories...was gutted when it was removed and replaced with the Haunting.
Didn`t the whole of the log flume eventually get in cased in a rock like theme or am I imagining this
Thanks so much for sharing, just my era of going, brilliant to see it all again 👍
Look, it’s that one instrument from Augie’s Great Municipal Band!
Happy days..
Magic carpet was wicked.

Lovely video, bringing back some really happy memories. When Blackpool was Blackpool worth going to!
Wow Dipper the revolution used to fly, they look much faster than these days. All the false hype for Big One is so funny, knowing now that it would never be anywhere near as good as Magnum which had already been open 4 years!
Were rides and roller coasters louder back then?
Love oblivion...my favourite ride.
Canyon Trip was an impressive looking ride to watch...
Even though we always preferred alton towers ,this was local and provided a very unique atmosphere.
Wow a pov of The Missile! Brilliant!
Awww the dying embers of the wonderful 80s!
I have a piece of wild mouse in my kitchen! ❤
Old galactica
The lovely days when women weren't covered in tattoo's , long gone
Matthew Bardell thought you might enjoy this
This would have been around the same time they filmed the ONLY FOOLS AND HORSES episode "THE JOLLY BOYS OUTING" there.
Really awesome footage, I remember visiting Chessington in the 90s and how open the Vampire ride area was back then. We styed in the Travel Inn that's near the park entrance and you could really clearly see it running round from your bedroom window, which had me transfixed! By the time we returned in the early 2000s the trees had grown massively and all you could really make out was the first lift. I've not stayed there since but I'd imagine you can see no sign of it at all now!
I went 1989 at 13 first time on a train by my own bembom brothers fantastic
Vampire ride vampire ride!
