Very cool! This video is really underrated
She seems to be the closest machine to matthew murrays salamanca for the middleton colliery railway which was the 1st commercially successful railway steam locomotive in the world.
Cool
never...
That seems to be some sort of friction drive system at 4:03?
That is a unique drive system...
The cameraman obviously is not a technician.
Whats with the irritating music , would be nice to hear the loco
The music is too loud. It's very fool.
Thank you ,love the music
Loose the porn music!
Some of the worst camera work imaginable.
What a wonderful machine - a sort of half way house between Hedley's Puffing Billy and 'his' sister Wylm Dilly and Stephenson's Locomotion. Thanks for putting it back, and never mind the brickbats - I'm grateful to both the cameramen and the engineers who make these replicas of lost or forgotten pioneering machines for our enjoyment
What were you thinking with that very annoying musical noise!!!
Please do it again with a decent camera, and avoid the too-close-up shots
Search Glenn Mitchell kites on UA-cam
I was there in 2018 training with eagle kites. Memorable. Friendly Chinese, fabulous kites.
I will never ever get bored of watching this for the rest of my days.
Very bad video Editting..
Amazing

Great movie terrible music bom video música terrível
Looks like if locomotion had steroids
A very unique looking locomotive
yes well video, but the music ruined all, with all my respekt
Hi R-C Weber. At the time of recording You Tube would not allow my choice of music. They gave me a list of copyright free music and this track was the best on offer so you can imagine what the rest of the tracks sounded like. I dislike the music but chose this because I thought it echoed the rythme of the engine. I do intend at some point to re-do the footage.
Jesus Christ, stop moving the camera. People want to get a look at the thing, but you keep zooming in and out and changing the shot every two seconds so they cant see the damn thing.
Зверь-машина!
Music why?
Terrible rubbish music
A provocative lead-up but lousy photography, music, and dearth of information. What was this, a dream?
Graham please why oh why does every uploader feel the necessary to include some sort of thumping out of context sound track ? The Stem Elephant makes its own music.
Shit music = 👎......and 🖕
Graham, will you pm me at mitchell93210@gmail.com? I am in the AKA and do you tube videos Glenn Mitchell Kites. I seek insight on travelling to China for purposes of kiting. Your help is much appreciated.
Graham, you're a true artist... I'm never going to Blackpool or to the zoo!
The original ran in the same year as the battle of Waterloo. Probably explains how the station got the name.
I wish it was filmed by a cameraman whose goal was to document how the engine worked rather that being artistic and evocative.
nice song
Really enjoyed watching the vid especially as i worked on this project, supplying the "Patterns" for the Cylinders and Wheels. Most of the work was done by Dorothea Whaley Bridge, working initially from a print of a painting.
It's awsome!
It seems like it's a 2-4-0.
never get bored of this. ever.
I too wish to go there...we should communicate.
It's mind-boggling to think of everything they had to invent to get the engine built in 1815.
Absolutely. I have read in depth the work of the originator and his colleagues, John Buddle Jnr is my 5th Great Uncle, and he is the most understated man of his time. His ingenuity is beyond compare.
Weifang by the sea? Your kites are very fast...too fast!?
Brilliant mastery of a single line kite...and the sound fits perfectly
What a fabulous piece of machinery!
Seen similar and was amazed at the ease these guys control the kite/aircraft. Thank you for sharing the moment Graham.
Nice stuff Graham, Lynne & I have been, Steve
The music is completely unnecessary and distracting. The sound of the loco working would be much more interesting. I was also very disappointed not to see good views of the entire side of the loco working. I'm an engineer and the full side view, including the connecting rods, cranks, etc. would be far more interesting than a few stupid views of birds, etc. The views from the carriage behind the loco also show nothing interesting. The loco itself is fascinating and reminiscent of "Puffing Billy", another loco from this period, and the workmanship is superb.
I am not a Railway enthusiast, this video was my person memory of a visit to a museum where I found one of the exhibits very interesting. This was never intended as a documentary video for railway enthusiast. I agree entirely about the music my choice as a background was not allowed by You Tube, this is one they sent me as a copyright free track. I'm sorry if less than 2 seconds of stupid birds spoiled your enjoyment of a 5.24 minute video.
I agree with you:-))
Quite an interesting Loco. Thank you.
