HOW TO FIX A TIRE VALVE STEM CORE (5 MINUTES)
Here is my how to fix a tire valve stem core. On my 2004 BMW 325i. The valve stem core was broken and leaking air. I simply drove to Auto Zone, and purchased this Slime Tire Tackle Kit for $5.46. Drove to the pump at the nearest gas station and fixed it right there. Hope this video helps!

HOW TO CHANGE A TOILET SEAT
Переглядів 466 років тому
A quick 10 minute tutorial on how to change a toilet seat. Please leave a comment if you have any questions. Thank you. Hope you enjoy.
Yeah, I have a comment. What the heck did you do?
Thank you sir, my valve stem core just had the same problem and I will use this method to take it out too.
The greatness of UA-cam!! 6 years later and people can still refer back to it!! Thank you so much for taking the time to share and teach us novices to do simple things for ourselves. This just happened to me today and all the videos I watched were about air not getting in or out, whereas, mine was air coming out just like yours. I'm sure it's the same problem but when you don't know much about cars, seeing the same problem helps so much more!! On my way to buy the kit. Thanks so much again and thanks for going straingt to the point!!
Safety glasses are good idea. Valve could blow out under pressure injuring your eye.
If mine is not sticking out and is in there regularly could I possibly need to change the whole valve?
" THATS AMAZING "
What year/model is this because i need to do mine too and i was told i cant because the stem is metal?!? Didn’t make sense to me but not sure with the tpm sensor…
Bro thanks !!!
Thankyou
thanks.. u look good by the way lol .. my first time trying to fix the valve stem on my mercedes
crazy how the economy has changed in 4 years bought the same kit for 8.99 today at autozone
Auto parts stores are massive ripoffs is what changed. Buy the same item for half as much elsewhere
What about the thing around the vavle stem like the outward lining ?
Thank you!! You saved the day!
Thank you for your help and posting this video
Thank you!
brilliant to the point
thanks! price is now $9 plus tax. inflation I guess ...
Bidenomics. And get an electric car while you are at it.
You, Sir, just saved the day!! I am extremely grateful!!
did it blow out on its own & how did you ever find it?
thanks doc, i broke the 60yo limit (like 5 years ago) and forgot how!!!!!!!
Awesome so you don't even have to take off the tire to your car. Quick and simple. Thanks.
Love the video bro. You make it look so easy. My question is, how do you put the new 1 in? You didn't show that part.
Very good video; concise & informative. At least I know to keep looking. I need to replace the core too. (It has the threads the cap screws onto)
I dont have to wait for my tires to deflate right?
Very Good job. Thank you.
Thanks for making this video. I'll be trying to change the core by myself.
Literally saved my life bro lol
Save me and my family money I was later but I didn't miss the whole day
I'm just surprised that someone who drives a BMW knows how to do anything on a car...
Lmfao!
Funny. My brother-in-law has a Master's degree in electrical engineering, is very wealthy, and has always owned at least one BMW at any one time. He rebuilds BMW engines, and does any other mechanical work needed. You just never know!
Good video, my stem was not sticking out. Tire held pressure but would not let air in but would let air out (wierd!). FYI, three years later the kit at Auto Zone now is just the 4-way tool and (4) valve stem cores. Good news it was only $4.95. One tip for anyone doing this, have the replacement stem core in hand and put it in asap after removal of the old one. You don't have to wait for the tire to deflate, even a little.
I thought it was the patch bc I had a whole sword in my tire. Much Appreciated
❤️
This might be just me being super stupid, but I somehow caused the air leak by inflating the tire. And the tire kept deflating loudly and very fast until nothing was there. So all I did was take pliers and pushed the tip a bit inside the valve. It immediately stopped making leaking noise and that made me happy. However, does make me wonder why it was so sensitive in the first place!
This happened to me this evening. I'll be trying fix it in the morning. Wish me luck.
@@barbwire65 results?
It did work, but I couldn't air it up because this was on my semi steer tire By the time I got back from the store, the tire was already off the rim.. Had to call a wrecker service to air it up
very useful. My bike is having an issue with the valve core. Didn't know it had a name. Going to but a thing to fix it later. (tire wont release air when i press on the core and the little bit is so close to the rim i can't do anything)
Good video! Thanks for the help
Thanks so much. Now i know for sure that my tire valve was broken since it wont put air in but taking it out instead. Save money from going to the autoshop
Sp glad you showed the receipt.
Nice
Is this standard for every vehicle/tire? Just asking since my tire started doing this a few days ago. Thanks.
I bought the same kit and fixed my tire. Thanks so much for the info.
Great video. Helped me save some money. Insert to the valve was worn out. Had no cap. 👍🏽
Hey THANKS A BUNCH!!! This video prevented me from replacing the tire. 😄🌻
Thank you!
Thks for close-up view. Needed that.
Quick, simple, and to the point. Also thank you for tipping on not overnighting the core. Perfect video.
what happens if the gold ring broken in half{circle shape). That's what happened to my car..
Thank you very much
Was this on a tpms valve?
My rim blocks my motion how do I take off my rim so it doesn’t block my unscrewing motion
thanks
The end of the valve pin opposite to the end we turn is sometimes flat and sometimes having a pin structure, are both compatible with schrader type valves of cars, motorcycles and bicycles?
