BIOACTIVE VIVARIUM: PART II

This is just a follow up video on the bioactive dart frog vivarium I built 2 weeks ago. I ended up having a piece of glass made for the top. The wire mess may be sufficient for most terrarium set ups, however they truly weren't designed to hold any sort of humidity. With dart frogs needing between 80-100% humidity, this glass lid was a MUST. Super happy with the aesthetic. I hope you guys enjoy...

This video shows the progression of Luna's enclosure from the night we brought her home to present. As you can see, even this 72x24x20 (6ft x 2ft x 1.6ft) terrarium is still not quite as big as I would like it to be. I DEFINITELY do not consider this to be her 'forever' home. Luna's first time eating off a plate.. She's usually fed by tongs! She's gotten so gentle I could even hand feed her if I really wanted to.. However, I want her to get used to eating food off of a plate. Reason being, if i'm not around to feed her, I feel reassured that my girlfriend or a family member can just drop a plate of food in the terrarium and it will be eaten. Pretty cool video. Hope ...

My tegu does not do good with other pets, he tries to harm my gsd all the time, so I keep them separated

I think they both realised that they could hurt each other, and despite the tegu having parts the cat was dying to play with, they both behaved very restrained and well!

my friend had a tegu when we were kids and it was just wild. He kept it in a tank, so it's no surprise.
It might have been a columbian tegu, those are a lot less mellow then the argentinian ones. Putting those with a cat will probably be a bloodbath

Just a question would a tegu be ok with ducks I have pet ducks and am afraid of it attacking them
An adult duck should've been no problem but if you had a chick i wont recommend you any kind of big reptiles.

Luna is approximately 3 years old. I can't say for certain, as we got her off someone who was unable to care for her anymore..
