Trying to teach my new model to run using reinforcement learning
Created using the Hyfydy simulation engine (hyfydy.com).
Trained using depRL (sites.google.com/view/naturalwalkingrl).
No motion data was used during any of these clips.

Simulated Bipeds

Bipedal creatures optimize their muscles and learn how to walk, using an evolutionary strategy. No motion capture or key frame animation was used in this video. For more information, see goatstream.com/research/papers/SA2013
Flexible Muscle-Based Locomotion for Bipedal Creatures

We present a control method for simulated bipeds, in which natural gaits are discovered through optimization. No motion capture or key frame animation was used in any of the results. For more information, see goatstream.com/research/papers/SA2013
bro dancing 💃💃💃
A game with this type of ai as a zombie where players can cut their legs and limbs and still try get to the player by crawling would be the best, more the player fight more the ai learn to fight back.this would be best game out there get Collaboration with some game developer and show it out to the world mark your place ( teach the ai to get back up )
He fell down with style 😂😂
What program or app was used to make this?
drunk dancing!!!! :D
0:26 Jack Sparrow style
awesome work, it kinda reminds me of natural motion's euphoria engine
By no means trying to minimize your work here, but I think you’ve accidentally created the perfect blackout drunk simulation 😂
How zombies run in any movie
Was this supposed to be a fail video? ...I run the same way. <:.(
This is honestly awesome
Babies learning to walk:
That skeleton run like a titan
Yakety Sax starts playing
Basically a drunk skeleton
Imagine the purpose of your existence is to trip and slip for someone's pleasure 😂
Me running from the cops after they found the meth lab in my trunk (they tased me)
Me running in the morning:
There’s a fairly new concept of “repulsive shells” (AKA “my body” lol) that could help prevent the musculoskeletal system from clipping through itself
Stop fooling around with the poor guy. Just don't give it any more booze, and he'll walk just fine.
Play some Michael Jackson, bet it fits perfectly 😂
Think he gotta learn how to walk before he can try himself at running.
Loooooooooooong 0:52
i love this funny little skeleton man with all my heart

Can you imagine making animations using this simulation?
0:26 Bro actually did that
0:29 I'm good
you can do it, pal!
can you simulate this model being hit by a car ?
"Now simulate it getting an education"
Yoooo your back
Very impressive results, I got tired of seeing people not simulate pain when creating nets that walk, as it usually leads to pretty inhuman results.
I don’t think it’s more about pain, I think it’s more about the way the ai learns, neurones stop doing something if it has no pattern, not if it is not as good as before, that’s why people kick around until they can walk and why they find other things like crawling first, a real brain would see the presence of unpredictable results in the walking and slowly realise that the way we’d normally walk produces more consistent results.
Like a lot your models..
iNCREDIBLE ..like a lot this videos shows the power and future of simulations in future AI models.
0:28 New move for Shun Di discovered.
“Hey HEYY wait for mee…”
My uncle after a family meeting
Like a crazy person who is not afraid of dying and getting injured. I think he needs to learn to crawl first.
LOL 0:31 new profile pic?
What does the structure of the neural network look like? I've actually been thinking about the pitfalls of AIs trying to learn how to walk, especially how long it can take for any semblance of symmetry to emerge, but I don't have a machine powerful enough to test the solution I hypothesized.
When the old bipeds video was release I was trying to figure out how I could learn to do my own simulations; seeing that Hyfydy and DpRl are now tools largely available to the public... ... I probably shouldn't, but I _want_ to...
you know in real life humans learn to walk when they're little. would it be easier to learn to walk or run if he was little too?
That… is a very insightful question. I’ve certainly never seen anyone try it that way. Start by crawling, strengthen the muscles according to how they’re used, (maybe put it in a bouncer?,) give it stuff to climb, lengthen muscles and bones, and eventually it could learn to walk
I doubt it would matter
A genius of our time
pro tip: put some background music like the simulated bipeds video. its weird to watch a mute youtube video, makes me instinctively check my volume buttons. i think these would be more popular if they had music.
I put the vsauce music, it kicks in
Nah
You have been tainted be the slave teachings of the modern day. You must learn child, to have patience and understand of the beauty that is silence. A moment of quiet in this uncaring cacophony of desire and capitalism.
@@YOGURT1 videos need sounds, its what the medium requires. if this was on a blog it would be ok because you're scrolling through text, but on a youtube video where the onlny thing you're doing is watching the video, it's weird. a little ambience would go a long way here.
@@YOGURT1 If you have a problem with sounds, you can always turn them off
i want to teach him
Me waking up the morning after a 10k run when I haven't gone running in 2 months
can this be used in games? like euphoria in gta iv?
can any one tell me whick softwere use
Greetings! Gentlemen, I am looking to share some ideas. Are you there yet?
