Coffee and plant time is my adventures in all parts of the houseplant hobby. I love the diy aspect of keeping plants. Learning new things about plants and sharing them with others is become one of my favorite things to do.

How do you do extensions of the pole? It’s got to be a pain in the 🐴with that PVC in the middle

How to do it?
Use a hot glue gun for the pvc pipe. The links to parts are in comments now i think.
Great specimen! I have a P. ellipticum that is about 1/3rd the size of this one (3 inch caudex, and when leafed out about 2 feet wide), and it has a similarly proportioned caudex. It's kind of hard to find them with a nice round base.
How do you secure the cedar plank to those small pots? Your collection is so stunning.

Cool...but how do you water them? Do you take them outside or to a sink. Or just go for it and water them and clean the floor later?
All of the post are in grow trays and they are tiers so not much water gets in the floor

Do you fill pvc until it overflows and wets the rope or does water automatically flow up then down the rope ?
It wicks automatically. A lot of self watering pots use the same concept

Do you have any mold or fungus growing on the always wet mosspole?
the addition of pet store springtails to the pot has proven very useful to me. If they leave the pot they almost instantly die.
I was wondering the same thing. Mold as well. Has anyone actually tried these? There’s another video of these from someone.
