I don't understand why these producers think they need dumb music while they are talking. It's like they don't have confidence in what they are saying and need a cover up.

Excellent information and instructions. Following your instructions, I made my repair area slightly smaller; it turned out great! Then just to out do me, my wife ordered a "Jacuzzi" emblem and epoxied it over the patch to cover it. Looks great.

I used JB WELD waterproof putty because I'm going to replace my tub. So far after 15 days it's still working. Oh and I spray painted it with Kryon for an extra seal. Cheap until I replace it.

this is really easy, it's on the side of the tube not a hard to repair, try repairing on the floor with 8- 10 Inch cracks in 2 places, where all the weight is located when taking a shower tried Jb water weld, epoxy, all said can fix fiberglass, BS, your weight on it just cracks it back open and leaks to all hell thru the floor.. O well, time to start over

Thanks for the video bud !! I have a 30 yr old Maax Fiberglass Tub with walls .It looks really good though still so I am fixing about a thumb size hole near back of tub below water level . I pushed the Tub Repair Putty hard down into the void and have a slight low spot that keeps showing thru so I m gonna do a second coat.Do you think a small piece of fiberglass cloth would be good idea under second coat? I m more concerned with patch being water tight strong than it looking perfect . Thanks again for the motivation to do it !

I did not like this video because it was impossible to hear with the stupid music. If I wanted music I would go someplace else. It seems for some reason almost all instructional UA-cam videos have insane loud music. Maybe one day they will learn.

That little hole is nothing. I was hoping for a big hole to really help a viewer out. I have one and we need to cut part of it out to reach old copper and replace with a new 3 way copper with new stems. A big hole is not going to cut it for this type of repair.

Seriously? You can't even count the drops? There were 5 drops of hardener, not 4. This is a horrible DIY video! Why did you not pre-sand the surface and cut-back the edge of the damaged gel-coat to expose an uncontaminated edge and surface upon which the new material can bond? The Alcohol pad is there to clean up the edge and repair area surfaces after you prep them. Not the whole prep all by itself. A proper repair will have the same surface plane as the surrounding area of the tub, completely disappear and not be noticeable at all. Not a convex "mound" of contaminated product at the repair site as you demonstrated herein. Of course actually following the instructions on the back of the package precisely will do wonders for everyone of us! Folks that believe they know a better way than the manufacturer of the product usually get results like those in this video. [See 1:18 in this video for the actual instructions... ua-cam.com/video/oVbyETXvwto/v-deo.html ] The reason the color did not match was because you mixed the product on the contaminated back of the sand paper - picking up color from ink on the paper. That can be seen in the varying changes of color of the mixture at 4:10 to 4:22/4:23. Aluminum foil wrapped over a small piece of cardboard, Cardboard itself or mixing on any other uncontaminated, organic surface would not have changed the color of the repair product. This video has more of what should have been done in this demonstration. ua-cam.com/video/g7v8ClKDRCM/v-deo.html
