    I have a cfmoto clx700 with the Check Engine lit and an errorcode which according to the manual is the Speed Sensor error. I have a speed reading on my dashboard when travelling but why I still have this error?

    Am i right in saying my pt cruiser 2.4 limited N/A (R/H drive u.k*pt van*) is the same engine & trans as my blocker ring worn so upshift&down into 3rd has short slight grind as engages it dont pop out & rest of gearing is all good. what is your opinion on my repair needs. JoeDog

      The pt I believe uses a different transmission then the srt but some of them do use the same motor but not all of them. I know the gt does. As far as transmission most are going be same if having a grind issue. They are normally the blocker ring on the synchro going or gone bad. Some you can replace the blocker rung and some transmissions you have to buy the whole synchro which is more expensive. If can buy just the blocker rings you still need to inspect the rest of the assembly for damage due to some can have wear or chips that can cause shifting issues also

    How are my friend. My name is Tom . I’m trying to test the speed sensor on my Polaris quad . It’s a 3 pin like the one in your video. Can you please in detail go over with me exactly where the wires go on the pin side. I have a multimeter . I understand that the black lead from the multimeter gos to the ground on the pin side along with the negative from the battery. I’m not quite sure where the the red side of multimeter goes , or where the positive side of the battery goes along with the other pin . Any info would very helpful. Thanks Tom .

      you will need to know which of your wires are ground, power, signal. your negative goes to ground and your positive will go to the power feed wire and then you will use the remaining pin which is signal to check for signal like in video. its better to have a manual to know which wire is what but if you dont have one you can check while its on the bike, quad, or sxs to see which is power, ground, and signal wire to know what your pins are. they can be different on different model and bikes

    Can you help me out? I have an XR 250 Honda, when I connect the speedo cable to the sensor, the bike misses its pickup and bogs. Without the sensor connected, bike runs very well.. Help me please what should I do

      i honestly never worked on one of those and without a manual to look into it i am unsure. but if i had to guess id say the bike uses the signal from the speed sensor for either the computer or cdi to read and adjust. so if there is a problem with the sensor or the circuit then when its connected it will not get a good or correct signal and will run badly. id suggest finding a repair manual for that bike and test that sensor and the connections and circuit to find the problem or take to a local repair shop if unable to fix

    I was testing mine earlier today because my speedometer isn't sweeping or reading properly while riding. I didn't test with voltage, but I did test resistance between all of the leads from the harness of the speed sensor and most tests read open line when I moved my metal wrench to the magnet, but between two of the leads it was reading around 35k ohms constantly and would not change whether I had the wrench at the magnet or not. It seems faulty to me because if I have my wrench touching the magnet, testing at least 2 of the leads should show 0 ohms resistance, right?

      thanks but this has been awhile ago lol. car is no where close to the same anymore lmao. iver done changed the turbo setup and rebuilt motor to upgrade and change things even the looks of car are different

      rims are 15x8 all the way around for street and 15x8 front and 15x3.5 rear for track

      @@JoseHernandez-vf3vp the 15x8's are the 20 offset. VMS offers a 0 offset also. the 3.5 skinnies only come in the one offset. but you will need a spacer to use in the front but not the rear. im using a 5mm spacer on the front

    i have always wanted a built srt4, if you could do it all again, would you sink that much money into a srt4? have you had many issues? is this only a track car?

      i do drive it on the street but not often. it is now carbon fiber hood, fenders, and trunk so not really wanting to chance it getting wrecked but at least once a week. and i am about to strip this big turbo setup off i have another setup im going to so ill be changing fuel system as well.

    place the fpr in a stable spot off the engine or you will be replacing it, they fail fast with extreme vibrations

      obryan express lights on facebook for the headlight intake and johnny boost performance on facebook for the wiper cowl. tell them hellafast srt4 sent you their way. they good people. johnny boost did my fog deletes also and he does other stuff too. obryan is also making one that still has the headlight in it too i believe

      the street set up is 235/50-15 toyo 888. track set up which is whats on the car is 24.5x8-15 front and 24x4.5-15 rear

      fpr depends on the injectors and your tuner normally would set that for you or tell you what to set it at if you doing email tune. different injectors i believe are different. if i remember right im at 58psi on the fpr but im running 24psi boost. it has alot to do with your air fuel ratio as well

    I will have some questions once I get mine in a few days. I'm at an issue where 3rd and reverse are hard to get into. The 3rd gear will shoot back on me. I was thinking it could be the pivot fork but after watching your video it could definitely be the synchro in 3rd gear. Now if I'm not mistaken I think you said they don't have to take the whole tranny out?

      I would say synchro but I would also check the shift forks while you have it apart. Dcr sells the whole synchro or you can get just the blocker rings and upgraded springs it just depends on what yours actually needs. They also sell the forks too. Werks sells parts for these trans also. And no you dont have to take out the trans. If you search UA-cam for srt4 transmission there is a guy that has a video if I remember correctly that shows you how to do it

      With the atp kit you have to. And I do believe you have to with the agp as well

      @@tayspeaks4596 yea I can do that. The agp kit I believe comes with a overflow but the atp does not. What I did was get one from summit and mount it and ran hoses I got from local part store. But I'll do I video. I been meaning to do some. I went with the greddy profec boost controller and did the profec map with it to do boost by gear and instead of having a tuner do it I've been doing it and it has been a blast on the street

    Thanks for the info, my fuse is good gonna check my sensor and the wheel in front of the sprocket to make sure it isn't loose. This all started after I killed my battery and that night charged it. Next morning I went to put the battery back in and 1 of the little square nuts that you use to connect the wires to the battery had fell out. So I zip tied the positive one. That day coming home I hit a bump and my tech and speed dropped. The tech came right back on but the speedometer hasn't worked since.

      If checks good I'd follow the wiring and check all wiring sensor & gauge. I work on stuff often and forget to make videos due to I'm new to UA-cam. Google your year make and model and search for repair manual pdf. It is a downloadable version of the repair manual. Ever bike that comes to me I have a repair manual for on my computer and it shows you how to check out and wiring diagrams

      Due to working night shift I have yet to have a day off to look into this but today I was tired of not riding so I rode to work. I have everything on my gauge, temp, miles, and a big 0 for speed. If it was the wire harness would it be blank instead of showing 0? Or would that not matter. Anyway it showing the 0mph is what is making me think it's either sensor or the wheel the sensor reads. Anyway just wanted to see what you thought about it. Thanks for the video and the previous feedback.

      In most cases the sensor is what goes bad. A broke or damaged wire can cause signal not to get to gauge also but not a problem often seen.

    I just got a JMB srt4 longblock for my 03 PT GT.. bout to order the ATP 50 trim journal bearing kit.. is that manifold much smaller than the OEM turbo manifold??

      If you set them side by side it is a little smaller but the exhaust side of turbo is made to the manifold on the stock. But the turbo itself is big. But the atp manifold is nice.

    What are you using to tune it? So far I haven’t liked many of the solutions that are out there for these cars. That’s really what is holding me up from ditching the stock turbo.

      Right now I'm just adjusting fuel pressure and boost to make drivable. I will be taking it brutal speed and tuning when I'm done to let them tune. I believe they tune hp or the diablo. I havent decided yet but thinking diablo

    Add a bracket to that FPR it’s gonna leak and cause a fire. Our builds are very similar but I don’t run NOS . I’d get the car tuned ASAP nice build great work

      @@Kt-cd6jn i just bought a EBlue srt4 with what looks like everything that yours has on it and has steel crank,h bean rods .built by brutal speed and tuning (Nigel) but has been neglected past few yrs and im currently doing a trans build...my waste gate doesnt have a vac line hooked to top like yours where does that go...it has the wot box set up and snow kit(h2o/meth) also but it has no type of controllers for boost that i can find was told it had to be set by tune but im new to these cars so idk the dyno sheet that came with car says it has or had 560hp but doesnt feel like that i drive it daily right now till my 325xi is fixed so where should i start with trying to get it back to its former glory.iv purchased a precision 65mm unit to go on it.has a agp 50trim unit on it now ...any info u got will help me out thanks and nice ridebro...

      @@CraigBrosRacing the 2 lines off wastegate you have one that goes to boost source and the other on mine goes to the boost controller. I'm using a greddy profec. I would have to look at papers again to see but I believe the top is to boost controller. There is different ways to hook up. But I do know that without a controller the boost will not go any higher then wastegate will let it. Like mine will only do 15psi I think. I'm being told that after tune I'll be running about 21psi unless I do methanol injection and then it will be more. So if you have no boost controller then you will not be hitting those hp numbers

    Nice build!!! How much hp and boost you running ? What fuel set up ?

      It has walbro 255 pump, 1025cc injectors, 6an fuel return line, sdk 6an fead line, aeromotive fpr. It hasnt been tuned yet and I'm still playing with it trying to get it to run good enough till I get it tuned. Tuner said with what I have done after tune around 450whp without the nitrous on about 22psi boost. If I add methanol injection we can turn boost up and get closer to 500whp. And that's on 93 octane give or take of course

      not sure. nitrous was used when it was a built motor with stock turbo and fuel system. not sure if im going to use it or not. but it has a 65 shot in it right now

      At the time it had stock turbo at 20psi and stock fuel system and with the 65 shot in the 1/8 mile I ran 8.00 and it blew out clutch during that pass so it should've gone faster. That was a couple yrs ago but I still have time slip somewhere I'll have to look for it and that was first time I raced in about 8 yrs

    If you don't mind, what fitting and seals are you using to mount your FPR to the Boomba rail?

      It is a 8 orb to 6 orb swivel. I purchased it at summit racing. Both the fpr and fuel rail require a oring seal and that is what the orb fittings are. They come with the oring. The fuel rail side is 8orb and fpr side is 6orb. Any other questions please let me know I'll be happy to help

      @@Kt-cd6jnthank you, greatly appreciated. I have the same rail and FPR for my 05 Srt4, but couldn't find any fittings that would still keep the FPR close to the rail. Or any that wouldn't take multiple connections or adapters. Your setup looks awesome, can't wait for start up!!

      Yes I agree. This was one I pulled off a customer bike. I recommend using oem or Rick's electric
