Am I wrong in thinking fewer motors means less vibration? I would have liked to have seen it yaw. Scale that up and there's your flying car! (I don't care for the one with props at groin level.)
VGR-Systems Nice. It would be awesome to see some super low KV motors and larger props to increase efficiency. You might be able to get 20 or 30 minute flight times.
therealfox thks, yes, it was a diy flight controller! The system is more stable when the center of gravity is low as you can see in the more recent videos. Rgds
Benefit should be efficient with the additional more complex tilt plane, so large propellers should be used, also lower prop should be smaller diameter and higher pitch as it is under the smaller and faster down wash.
The only thing missing is a sleek shell to reduce drag and a tripod landing gear. Maybe start with a cut in half PET Bottle and some CF Rods sticking out of it?
Duraltia yes !! But through holes in bottom of the frame you can slide carbon rods to have a landing gear... more easy for pid tuning :)) you can see it on the other vids in my youtube page. Thks for your comment!
😂😂😂
what servo did you use?
I want to know the name of hardware which control the inclination of motor. plz~
how do you change the torque of one motor over the other for yaw movement? Do you control the throttle of both motors separately ?
yes, like a classic birotor, rgds
why it is not stable moving alot /?
to show the translation capability. rgds
do you have a yaw control ? and can this idea be made on 2 gasoline motors ?
Yes, with a different torque between the upper and lower prop. Why not with gasoline motor but not so easy to design a contra-rotative gasoline motor.
Very cool drone! Btw, which program are you guys in your Custom FC? MultiWii, APM, or your own custom code? I'm very curious go know.
Thks, It was a custom firmware programmed for PIC32 from Microchip. Interesting development but I stopped and bought a CC3D revo instead. rgds
VGR-Systems very cool! Regarding the CC3D, are you still using a custom firmware?
no, It's librepilot firmware librepilot.atlassian.net/wiki/display/LPDOC/Welcome
VGR-Systems Awesome! Thanks for the info.
Regarding the librepilot firmware, did you use "custom" as the setup for vehicle configuration?
OK , Wut is t3s ?
lipo 3S sorry
OK thanks, but wit fc are using? I got kk2 mini And a cc3d and an APM ? on 4s !
It was a custom fc but i tried a CC3D without any problems. I used librepilot. Nevertheless I think tha t3s is mandatory for this motor.
I want to convert my 450 helm into one! wut sise props do u use, an wut kynd of brushless motor an kV, how many cells ?
props : antigravity carbon 9"; contra motor: www.maxxprod.com/mpi/mpi-266.html; lipo 2200mah 3S; rgds
thanks
what did you use for the flight controller
Custom FC but you can use a normal FC as well
tremor problem of all helicopter
Very nice.
i need Command program this drone by arduino
Am I wrong in thinking fewer motors means less vibration? I would have liked to have seen it yaw. Scale that up and there's your flying car! (I don't care for the one with props at groin level.)
Nice
wow, cool. very stable! how many use bldc in there? can that yawing?
Hi!! Simon, May i Use a controler with less chanels?, do you use all the 12 chanels from your controller? you have a great job!
If you mounted stuff vertically it would be sleeker and cause less drag.
Seems quieter than a race drone, too. How fast can it go? Does it have acro mode? A geometrical tilt limit?
It has a pendulum effect so I'm not sure it can do flip...never tried. Can go to about 40-50km/h at max. Thks.
Lit.
Thats very cool! Congrats!
The first flight is itself so stable
so nice
bellisimo
that drone use a 4ch radio ?
Yes a 4ch radio but need more channel to tune the PID in flight
probably good for low altitude.. bat I feel like it will have a problem flying as soon as you put a camera gimbal on it. good stuff!
Hello!!! can u explain me how does this thing move forward and backward
Yes, the contra-motor is tilted on a roll and a pitch plate with servos.rgds
I appreciate your reply!!But the thing is I didn't understand what you meant to say!Can u b in more detail?Thank you Sorry if u felt it offensive
Good
it looks like a flip-flop but its cool
helicopter
Awesome build. What kind of flight time do you get with this craft?
RoboTekno thank you, about 12 min with a gopro and 15 with 20g fpv cam. Rgds
VGR-Systems Nice. It would be awesome to see some super low KV motors and larger props to increase efficiency. You might be able to get 20 or 30 minute flight times.
Yes I think so and I am currently working on it!
whats so different than a coax heli, but an ugly one.
But can it do flips?
Any news on that? Could be a bit more stable. Maybe with new gyro systems in new flight controllers it could stay stable
therealfox thks, yes, it was a diy flight controller! The system is more stable when the center of gravity is low as you can see in the more recent videos. Rgds
using contra propeller technology very nice, good idea simplest and powerfull
his invention will mark a before and after. Especially for FPV
Awesome. No comments, very good
Cool! How long before I can get one?! Or 2?!
Joshua Roy Depends on when you want to build it yourself
waw!! amazing built!! love it! :)
How do you control yaw on this vehicle?
Mahathi Bhargavapuri with different torque applied to the upper or lower prop (contra rotating motor)
Great Job!, How control Yaw Direction with one motor?
mehdi Eatemadi this is a coaxial drone so he got 2 motor
Benefit should be efficient with the additional more complex tilt plane, so large propellers should be used, also lower prop should be smaller diameter and higher pitch as it is under the smaller and faster down wash.
Present, the Jack Russell yes! I'm working on it! Thks
How many degrees are leaning engines?
Rumcajs x about 15deg for this frame.
Thank you - frame looks great :) I think of similar design - but the coolest are the dimensions, just in time for a little quick trip
VGR-Systems are ur item on eBay ?
why is this a drone and not just a helicopter?
Zach Allen drone mean uav . It mean there is no man control the vehicle on it thats why is called unmanned Ariel vehicle
The only thing missing is a sleek shell to reduce drag and a tripod landing gear. Maybe start with a cut in half PET Bottle and some CF Rods sticking out of it?

nice machine man!
Just curious, what servos are you using? They must be very strong.
I thought but actually not. A micro digital servo like ds385 is enough.
But doesn't a brushed servo eventually wear out?
No i don't think so. Forces applied are not so strong.
Kenneth Wang Hi Kenneth!
Looks good, however, how can yaw movement be controlled using only 1 motor? Can you give some updates about that invention?
Yes, it's a contra rotative brushless motor. Yaw is controlled by the speed of each prop. More updates on diydrones see vgrsystems blog. Thanks!
Yep, it uses the centripetal force.
nice work!
Thks!!
