The only issue I've had with extech products are that they are unalienable. The calibration can only be verified. I had to toss out the meter when I sent it out for calibration. Evergreen telemetry has a much better product. I still use extech as a backup.

Those readings should be taken in an equal area or Log-T method per NEBB procedural standards. Not just at the center point of the duct. 2,6,9 inches on the vertical readings. The flow velocity tends to be lower near the duct walls due to friction. Yes, the average will be close when the velocity is tallied up. However, traverse points according to the National Environmental Balancing Buerou need to be one of the two methods.

I have a new home (5yrs old) and we’ve been having issues with frozen doors and locks every winter. We changed all locks, done all weatherstripping and still have frozen locks and have difficulty with doors sticking. We had hvac, home inspections done and one of them mentioned about getting the pressure inside the home checked. He also suggested storm doors to alleviate the problem of having frozen doors and locks but would that solve the issue?
