Haha! Thanks, man. Hopefully, we get to that next level with support from folks like you - please do share our content with your friends and spread the good word. 🙂🙏
Pushing all the companies away with the help of local goons and politicians and setting up own company in the state, that is not Startup.. that is Mafia. I have worked with Uber as driver. I have started my own startups .. 1 closed in 3 yrs rest 2 didn't make even up to the registration. It is hard.. and making yourself the only player in the market on the grounds of Mafiagiri is not entrepreneurship. Sorry, not impressed!
Actual Reason: As a Unicorn company it is very easy to boost their sub company, Because they don't want to prove themselves and they don't want to convince investor to invest into their company, Because they have money back with themselves. And moreover they have strong Network. And Short story : Everything was replicas from foreign countries
It's hard to execute beyond the idea itself. Of course, the resources help but really.. there are many examples of those who failed. Ex: Rocket Internet's India foray was a disaster!
Good work guys ❤
Thank you, Sumit! 🙂

I need to watch it may be 2-3 more times to actually understand what he wanted to convey. In some instances the gravity of his points was too much for me to comprehend.
Yes, I've been reflecting on this episode quite a bit, too. Glad you liked the content, pls do subscribe and share. 🙂
speaking of sustainable businesses- I hope you guys get Sridhar Vembu on the pod to talk about the startups he has invested in and how/what they're doing. I've heard him give us glimpse but I'd like to know more.
Hey, great suggestion - I've hosted him a couple of times before on another podcast, Bharatvaarta. Will definitely try to bring him on board again sometime. :)
@@ckcariappa yes I've watched many of his talks/pods but most of the time people only ask about his zoho story. I think there's more to learn from what type of companies he thinks we should create- from the companies he invests in. There's a lot of value in that. so a single episode only focussed on that would be great!
@@alonzo_go Yeah for sure! Great idea, let me reach out.

bro how do you bring these guys, i am student of 1st year ..... and i am really amased by your content
If you are a marketer how come you have so few subscribers? This is not snark. I'm genuinely asking. Why is it that your brand hasn't worked? Is it the content? how are you not reaching more people?
Thanks for the comment, man - perfectly valid question, no snark taken. :) There are many reasons for this, most of all that I haven't really taken my role as a content creator seriously - I have these conversations because I like them, don't optimise too much for what people like / don't like and so you'll notice that the nature of our content has remained pretty much the same. That aside, we are missing a few tricks on the production and distribution side of things, which we will hopefully fix in due time. In the meantime, it's up to folks like you to help us get there. And you can say I was among the first 10K subs of The Startup Operator. :) Thanks again, brother - keep supporting us!
