My grand son is astium and he is always pulling on his father ears it is over bearing for the father, but he let him do it anyway to keep him happy

Wow! I just pulled my kiddo from kindergarten and decided to start homeschooling. We’re 50 days in and soooo much happier and it’s really working for us. And speech has gotten so much better.

My son is 9 is still non-verbal. I homeschool him, along with my other children, but i just find there's not enough time in the day to do everything id like to do with him and then there is behavioural typicalof autism. I also find that we make headway and get more words, then he regresses back to nothing. We treat him as normally as the other children and expect the same behaviour and chores out of him. I love watching you and get lots of inspiration from your videos. If you have any ideas please let me know. how does sign language fit in ? child is 6 now and still not talking in conversational form at all. Has limited one-word responses, pronunciation is not on target most of the time either. DD.

good day mam.I have a child who was exposed to 4 to 8 hours screen time daily from 1 year to 3 years old, we just stopped screen time for 3 months now. when she did not got what she wants us to get for her or she heard us say no in a loud voice & she happens to be sitting on a high chair or sitting beside a stair rail. she bumps her head but when we said stop or hold her head to prevent her from continuing she doesn't do it any more, is this an occurrence for VA. Thank you

Hi Marci - I came across a study a little while back showing excessive exposure to screens during their developing years reduced white matter in the brain - because of this, communication in the brain is affected and this is why VA children mimic autism behaviours. Have you heard of anything like this? What are your thoughts?

Absolutely correct as far as everything! Late talker’s understand so much more and people really don’t realize it. Kids are underestimated and spoken to like they couldn’t possibly understand which is absolute garbage. Awesome Marci!!!

Many delays are from traumatic brain injuries given by so called doctors at birth. They damage the baby, then Try to use the same broken system to do more harm.

After you watxhing your 7 signs videos, we scheduled an appt with an ENT. My daughter just turned 4 yesterday and doesn't talk. She says little things and says certain words from songs and can follow what we do. I'm praying we get down to the root cause of her speech delay. She was in speech therapy for a while but it got too expensive smh

This is my grandson, and he is a very special child. His parents have been concerned re his lack of speech, but I happened to fine out re Einstein's syndrome, and am encouraging them , and seeking to help them realize what their child is all about ! They have been afraid, that to take him anywhere, that he will be 'labeled', but I already have told them, what to expect from him , tho very briefly, as I am only beginning to learn about it, myself !

I am interested to know, what the parents of these remarkable children are like ....what is their intelligence level, etc ?

Are children with VA more sensory seekers?

What do you do if your child has begun to talk but their language is behind how can we get the language up to speed and be appropriate so people quit treating them like they’re behaving naughty when they’re still struggling to completely communicate and self regulate?

This is to me, Marci's most powerful video. I think this should be the starting point not the swap prompting video. I come from a place where when a kid is not talking, the first thing they do is an interview with the parents. The kid is never allowed in this interview and it's also to learn about parents'trauma or fears that are blocking children's development in many areas. Lots of times the parents are referred to get psychological treatment but not because of their late talkers but because they are stuck in fear or in a primitive response of fear or they have other unresolved conflicts that won't allow them to have a healthy relationship / separation with their children. It was a cultural shock for me to have professionals talking about my child in front of my child ignoring him 100 per cent!!! The evaluation process here is the most dis- personalizing experience ever and when Marci talks about un prompted speech she's really referring to the expression of a real self that is starting to emerge from an independent being. That's where creativity and real expression are born. Request talking or learning to ask for things is not different from your cat coming in the morning saying meow to ask for food. When cats don't even meow that much in nature. They just feel they are saying 'give me food'. So this is pretty much what your child is doing. There's not a true expression of the self there it's just a more evolved way to communicate needs. I really started to see a change when I stopped looking at my child and put attention on myself. Maybe you're in a relationship where you feel you cannot speak up or maybe you have a job that is making you feel that your opinion doesn't mean anything. Maybe you're great at talking but nobody is listening. All this things get transferred to our children. Maybe they see you can talk but no one listens so what's the point of trying. We as parents get so scared when we the kids are stuck in echolaia but we are doing somewhat the same by parroting professionals or teachers talking about red flags or behaviors or all these words we copy paste from the propaganda without even questioning what we're saying. I guess That's an adult version of echolaia. And parents who desperately want to get their child in a school and making friends are experiencing a primitive fear of being left out of the tribe. But in this time and era our children won't freeze to death just because they didn't have friends in pre-K. Unfortunately awakening the primitive brain through fear or guilt is the number one tactic in marketing and that is how they can sell you a flooding insurance in Arizona if they are good. And the ASD became such a profitable industry that marketing is everywhere and you'll get in this primitive mode easily. So, my strategy to help my late talker, was to come back to my own therapy, then I started to study myself new things instead of trying to teach him. I enroll myself in church because my LT loves church and I don't have faith formation so I'm going to do it even when it's so outside of my comfort zone. I'm trying to learn a third language to show him we all struggle at first. This is the way I model imitation. Doing things I can't or that are not easy. All the time I tell him my feelings and my experiences and what makes me different from him and how we're alike. I had to find new goals and dreams for me away from him so he can understand we're all different and unique and he doesn't have to copy paste from me or nobody. I started using facilitation for my son but in the path I ended facilitating for myself by finding old and new passions. Thank you Marci
