I have been going for ages to get it just because of such cinema timbres. Thank you very much.
Ep sound very similar at ep mks20
@@gaston6340 Yeah a number of the electric pianos when mixed with other sounds are pretty good. The pianos are ok but have to be tweaked or layered for a certain type of sound.
What volume do you use for the upper 2?
@@mauriciopereira5677 I assigned all 3 knobs for volume for now. Knob 1 is upper 1 volume. Knob 2 is upper 2 volume. Knob 3 is lower volume. I usually adjust it based on how much of the sound I want to hear. Sometimes I turn down knobs 1 and 2 and have the bass in lower louder. The bass guitars don’t always have the volume I want so I compensate that way and turn the main volume up after adjusting those. I also currently have my upper 1 and 2 as buttons so I can change the sound on upper 1 on the fly. Usually upper 2 is 3/4 the way up or more. Sorry for getting back to you so late.
@@GospelMusic4Life thanks!!!
I had the go keys piano 5 and I can say that the Casio Ct s 500 is so much better you can save your tones on the Ct s 500 even though Go keys sound might be a little better than. Casio is missing some functions than the Go keys 5 Its good for the stage than The Roland Go keys to me thanks good video brother.
@@Shades289 I’ve got to look at the specs a little more on the Go Keys 5. Some of the functions I see it has are things I like. Vocal harmony, can load new sounds and rhythms, usb audio I believe. Would have been nice to see knobs. I run my iPad 9 into the audio in on my Casio when playing out but I plan to test the iPad direct into a PA speaker connected to the Casio at some point. The audio in jack does not seem to have the clarity as iPad going into my Juno although it still sounds ok in the Casio. I wonder if the Roland can run iPad sound apps through the audio input so that I do not have to use the 3.5mm jack.
The Keyed action is good but you can't save none of your modifications at all Casio Cts 500 is real especially probably with loop machines
Love this keyboard. You play it great.
@@davidlancaster1974 Thanks! It’s a great board. I’m still trying to get the most out of it. I’ve got to get back to trying to use its main feature. 😀 Vocal synthesis.
@@GospelMusic4Life Yes, the vocal synthesis seems like a lot of fun! I have the 500 but there are so many functions I still haven’t explored even on that model.
I'm thinking of getting the S500 as a personal keyboard, I'm a beginner. Would you recommend it? Thank you for taking the time for making this educational video. God bless you.
@@gabrielrsd182 Yes. Depending on what your goals are as a musician but it is a good start. The Roland go keys 5 may be a good option also but I have not had a chance to see it in person. I love performing different styles of music and having a lot of sounds so the S500 is a good board that would allow me to do that. I also like playing piano with more range so I have another 88 keyboard for that. The action on the CT S line keyboards seem better than the actions on some of the other Casios I have played and owned. Also having the assignable knobs are a great benefit. What’s your goal as a musician long term? When I first started I wanted to play jazz and gospel with a mix of classical. 😀
@@GospelMusic4Life I'm a 37 years old auxiliar pastor working as worship leader in a small church. My goal is learn and be able to jump into the keyboard and praise the lord. My budget is limited, but I believe I can afford a CT-S500. If i get real good and God allows me I would be looking to get a 88 keys Yamaha CK that will also be the Church's main piano.
@@gabrielrsd182 Cool let me know how I can help. What type of songs do you perform? Depending on your church the Casio can do a lot of the work for you as a full band by saving registrations.
The Casio 3800 has a MIDI in and MIDI out port for hooking up devices like MIDI foot pedals and things like that
Yes that would probably probably make a great midi controller with 76 keys!
Thanks for the comment! Some big changes planned so will be posting more and sharing about what I’m doing and working on.
God bless you bro
Thanks. I had fun using that patch.
How did u connect to keyboard sounds really good
This recording was done directly from my iPad screen recording feature. The drum sound was from garage band drummer I believe. I had my Nektar T6 midi controller connected to the iPad. Recording using a VST or sound on directly on your computer will usually sound better than cables going into an audio interface but that also depends on the quality of the audio interface and the output ports on your keyboard. When I use the outputs from my keyboard going into my audio interface they aren’t always as good as the apps I use as far as sound but really again it’s about quality of what you are using. The are ways to make things sound better with effects plugins but I usually work with a lot of the default settings on instruments and plugins. Hopefully I answered your question.
Great answer thank you
Love the way you play wish I can play like that
Thanks. This was a while back but I was trying to keep a feel of movement with walking bass because the drummer was not playing at that point. I was keeping time like a bass drum on the foot pedal to make a thumping sound.
GOD BLESS YOU ❤
No problem.
SUBSCRIBED FOR LIFE!
Hi--can you go over this song again--and add the chordy-app--and tell us what key you're in...I really want to play this song...Thanks
I think I’m using midiculus in this. I believe it actually has the chordie app built into it. Is there something specific you wanted me to do with this song?
Thanks!

Great stuff I’m about to wing this today 😂 This was great inspiration
I know what you mean winging it. 😃 Thanks!
@@GospelMusic4Life it went well, wasn’t as hard as I thought, listening to this on the way definitely helped, I started figuring out more and more parts as it went on
Oops Mano... I'm watching your video now in 2022 and I noticed that this one is similar to the one I'm going to buy, do you have any good references about it? to advise me or confirm that I am making a good purchase!?
I dabble on the bass every blue moon but over the years have realized I love the ibanez basses made like this. This is the 305m. It has a maple neck. The neck is fast and it has a beefy sound to it. I was tempted to get another brand some years back until I took my bass to the store and compared it. Which bass are you getting? The newer Ibanez 300 models would be comparable except I don’t think any of them have a maple neck.
@@GospelMusic4Life What a great brother!! I'm actually getting a DSR 305m Exactly like yours!! I hope you like the sound of it too!!
@@chrystyannohara774 I’ve tried a few different strings but like the DR high beams. One other thing I forgot. Check the string size on the low B before you buy them. I think I have a .125 on mine but not completely sure as I have not picked it up in a while. I purchased a .130 from one brand years ago and it didn’t pull all the way through the bridge. I think that is why I down sized the B. I didn’t want to do any drilling on my bridge. Congrats on your new bass!
@@GospelMusic4Life Thank you very much

How can I use the expression volume pedal?
I would have to connect one. Any keyboard or midi controller with and expression pedal port or assignable port show work. Both my keyboard and midi controllers have an expression pedal port. Does your keyboard have an expression port?
@@GospelMusic4Life my keyboard is a casio privia pxs 1000, I use it with the vbm3 organ application but I don't know if any of its inputs are suitable for the expression pedal. It has the damper pedal input (which I use as the rotation) and it has the midi input that appears as a pedal unit, I don't know which of those two can be used and if the app recognizes it. Could you help me confirm, I want to use expression volume
@@danellyelizabethrodriguez1748 i looked at the keyboard. You would have to use some other method to use a volume or expression pedal since it does not have a connection for it. One way to control volume swell is to have the audio going out of the keyboard into a pedal that sends that sound to another sound source like an amp. Another way is that you would need to connect the keyboard to another device in which they can pass midi data back and forth. That might get a little complicated if you don’t use midi. If you had two keyboards connected to a computer and one had the jack you could do it that way also.
You can purchase a MIDI expression pedal, if you do not have an expression pedal input on your keyboard. Just do a search for MIDI expression pedal. There aren’t a ton of companies making them. But, you will find them.
@@GospelMusic4Life Does the sustain pedal work in the app?

Can I schedule an online session with you? I have a Roland Juno DS-61. I want to set my piano sounds, and also learn how to get the full effects while playing live as a single musician.
I could probably do a live zoom session. I will have to figure how how to get that setup. I still don’t fully utilize my keyboard but can share a few things. What is the best time to do a live session?
I'm flexible, let me know what is best for you.

@@GospelMusic4Life good tutorial thanks for your gift 🎁
Thanks. To God be the glory. Trying to learn more everyday.
One question, do you know why some strings sound slow at first and then increase in volume? Can you make it all start suddenly?
Some of that is in the touch response of the keyboard. I do have a heavy hand at times from playing to hard on weighted keyboard. I need to work more on my touch. I have been working more on my weaker fingers. Also some of its when I change to the next sound string it has a different attack on the next sound. All of the sounds have a different response to how hard you play the keys.
It sounds great. What is your practice routine?
I don’t practice like I used to after having a family. Most times I’m just practicing songs for Sunday service and recording ideas to learn latter. When I was more serious about practicing I would practice major and minor scales along with basic chords and their inversions. I plan to try to do better in the new year. It’s more of a concept of practicing for me now which I want to work on. No matter what you play practice up and down the keyboard, forward and backwards, in opposite directions up and down the keys, intervals, and in every key. For the most part I try to make whatever it is fun for me which keeps the motivation going.
Watched a couple of your videos, and enjoyed your practice sessions!
Thanks. Your doing a great job blessing the kingdom!
I love it thank u
Glad it helped!
Hey man. I was wondering how did you get that beat to play without stopping. And is there a way to speed it up for shouting?
Yes it has a tempo tap button or you can click the tempo button and set the tempo. The keyboard has some basic preprogrammed drum patterns for different styles. Each style has variations on them or you can record your own patterns.
Great bass and voicings!
Sorry I missed this post. Thanks.
