I almost stepped on a rattlesnake! | Green River, NC Hiking
This was a cool hike near Saluda, NC. It was 8.3 miles with a little over 1,800 feet of elevation gain. I’m trying to work my way up to more elevation gain over shorter distances. I want to hike to some alpine lakes out west someday.
The trail was easy to walk on and didn’t have tons of rocks or roots. There was a lot of poison ivy though… I almost touched some by accident while recording a video about how I almost touched some. Crazy, right? The river was very peaceful and relaxing. I’ll definitely hike there again in the future.

Riley Moore Falls is located near Long Creek, South Carolina. This easy hike is about 1.9 miles roundtrip from the road, with about 360 ft of elevation gain. If you have a high clearance vehicle you might be able to drive up to the trailhead and shave about a mile off of your hike. Either way, enjoy! @@waterfall.hunter That’s awesome. I hope you get to some day. I’d recommend the west coast or the North although the weather can be rough there the views are spectacular. I would love to go to the Pacific Northwest sometime. Maybe Washington state or something. Northern California seems really nice too.
