    Manchuela wines remind me Burgundy. In blind tasting I would think it's one of the best of Cru Beaujolais or even really good Burgundy Pinot Noir.

    It’s Spanish- DOC not Q. Denominación de Origen Calificada

    • @SimplySpanishWine
      @SimplySpanishWine Рік тому

      Hi Tom. Thanks for taking the time to comment. We're actually using the Catalan spelling - Denominació d’Origen Qualificada - which is shortened to DOQ. But you're right - that could be made clearer in the text. So we've updated the description above slightly. Thanks for flagging.

      Thank you very much for the video. Please could you do me a favor. Please repeate the wine here in the discription. As you told I am one of those who never tried a Priorat wine. I want to study the region, I want to study the wines and all about the winemaking process there. I watched UA-cam videos. The region is absolutely stunning and phenomemal in its beauty. It's really something like to in heaven when you see the beautiful landscape. Greetings from the other part of the world, from Chile ✌️

    Good explanation. So main difference between champagne and cava besides terroir is the grape varieties: xerel io, macabeo (viura) and parellada.

    Everybody loves Tempranillo, it seems! 🙂 It's used a lot in Valdepeñas as well.

    • @SimplySpanishWine
      @SimplySpanishWine 2 роки тому

      It is indeed used in Valdepeñas, where it's also called Cencibel. Interestingly, on the DO's website, they cite a study from around 16 years ago which suggests that Tempranillo actually originated in Valdepeñas (vinosvaldepenas.com/las-12-uvas-de-valdepenas/). We haven't read that particular report so can't comment, but clearly they are proud to think of Tempranillo as their own.
