Thank you, pastor for giving sense to the Apocalyptic texts for me. "All will be well and all will be well, all manner of things will be well ".🙏 Julian of Norwich
Good morning everyone.🙏❤️
These vids keep popping up on my feed randomly. Maybe its a sign haha. Who ever is on the organ is killing it!
Father God, thank you for you have taken the life you have given me seriously by all means wanting to improve my life and that of others around me, praise you God for you never failing care, you trully deserve all our devotion! In accordance with this word and micah 6:6-8, 2 corinthians 6:14-18 I therefore bind to hell one to take oneself too seriously while binding one to take God seriously in my life, the lives of my family, friends, colleagues, neighbours, acuintances, opponents and the body of Christ, binding to hell every unequal yoke and common share with anyone taking oneself too serious and lacking to take God serious, in the name and blood of Jesus Christ, amen and hallelujah: How can I stand up before God and show proper respect to the high God? Should I bring an armload of offerings topped off with yearling calves? Would God be impressed with thousands of rams, with buckets and barrels of olive oil? Would he be moved if I sacrificed my firstborn child, my precious baby, to cancel my sin? * * * 8 But he’s already made it plain how to live, what to do, what God is looking for in men and women. It’s quite simple: Do what is fair and just to your neighbor, be compassionate and loyal in your love, And don’t take yourself too seriously- take God seriously.
Not sure but think hyssop was used regarding leprosy...as part of declaring the leper healed...or cleaned.
here's my song about this: ua-cam.com/video/W9jgS9arUTY/v-deo.html
Thanks Susan!
Thanks for your thoughtful memorial to Nancy. There was a long line of strong Spraker’s at CLC, and it is very sad to lose her.
Lord Jesus So very good to be here .
Thank you for bringing song and praise into my home . As the darness of this year ends we follow the light of Christ to continue to iliumin our way to the sure path of his brilliance .
Excellent interview in the time of Covid- 19,. I loved how Andrea described how we can help others and be involved through church streaming!
Great job Andrea!!!
Thanks Be to God
Thanks Pastor David. We need to keep remembering that God is with us during these turbulent times!
Amen!
What an appropriate message just before we confirm five of our young people on Sunday!
Agreed!
Well done on the desk pen Pastor Dave :-)
You get the prize for being the first to notice this recent addition to the desk!
Pastor, Maria, Josh, Jay, Natalie, Paul, Lu, and Bob - you remain such blessings to our congregation. Thank you for sharing your gifts so generously.
I really needed this. After rage-re-reading Rabbi Kushner's When Bad Things Happen to Good People book for solidarity, it helps to have a Lutheran perspective to buttress it. Rolf Jacobson's punctuation is everything. There are certain family members who may be getting a link to this video soon!
Thanks, Elizabeth, glad to hear this reached you!
@@collegelutheranchurch Me, too. It showed up on UA-cam when I went back to start at the beginning of the "100 Bible Verses" series (which is great). Right word, right time.
Thanks Pastor David. Comforting sermon and words we need to hear and remember every day!

Glad you enjoyed this!
Great to make the point that more of God's will and nature is revealed to us today so that we can understand more now. We truly have access to the more abundant life in this day and age!
Thanks Pastor David. Well-spoken and thought-provoking!
Thanks Celi!
Great job!
I will say that my office is definitely my solace. Surrounded not only by the things that inspire my personal creativity... but where I can meditate and listen. Since we are divinely created, God and Jesus knows our activation points. For some, it is cooking in the kitchen while contemplating the chemistry of food and the physical changes that takes place during the process. For others, it while they are practicing their craft. For me, it is in the planning of how I intend to help and serve people during the week.
Pastor David - I really appreciated your message this morning! Eva and I are in my "Guest Room/Office" and I could feel God's presence here. Thank you for reminding us to be aware that God is with us - wherever we are!
Thank you, Pastor David, for your comforting words.
I appreciate this teaching, Pastor David, particularly the part about vocation, freedom, and boundaries. Knowing what I know now about the result, it seems difficult to imagine that Adam and Eve would choose to succumb to temptation. That is why hindsight is so clear I suppose. Thank you!
Thanks, Susan. Lovely and helpful.
Thanks Pastor David. Your Bible Studies are always thought-provoking and comforting - especially in these turbulent times.
Thank you Pastor for continuing to feed your flock. You remain a great blessing.
Thank you Susan! Our church is blessed by your leadership!
I really like your focus on the “who” of the creation story rather than the literal vs figurative argument. It is such a whole and peaceful approach.
Thanks Valerie! It helps a lot to focus on the "who" throughout the Bible!
I am enjoying the Bible Studies. Thank you Pastor David!
You're welcome; glad you're enjoying them!
Thanks for the thought provoking commentary - I appreciate the opportunity to go back and review my own notes from long ago. In searching for a cross-reference, I stumbled upon a scripture that provides me some comfort in the very strange and surreal time - Isaiah 41:10-13, particularly vss. 10 + 13
Thanks! And your pointing to Isaiah 41 brought to mind that great hymn, "How Firm a Foundation." Another good reminder these days.
There were times in St Pauls life that he was imprisoned and not permitted to visit and commune with his beloved Christian brothers and sisters. At this time I might say that while we are not tortured or beaten physically as he was, we can also feel the pain of separation. This ST. Paul endured yet grew in faith and hope notwithstanding his most grievous situation. Hope for what? For you and me ; Timeless . Little would he know that over 2000 years later we would feel this same separation of fellowship . While his letters took many months to contact and support his fellow believers, they remained bound by Gods grace and love and time distance or circumstance never diminished their union by the Spirit for one another and for their Lord and savior Jesus Christ . Until we meet again you all will be in my prayers to the glory of God .
