It was really a great Hon our and pleasure to have your King and Queen of the Cook Islands-Mangaia Island in Poreporena Village, Hanuabada, Port Moresby as very special invited guest's to celebrate and co-memorate the 150 years, when the Late Evangelists or man of God Rev. Ruatoka Materua with his Group who brought the God News Of Jesus Christ to our native village on 26th of November, 1873. Your King had a very good and memorable time last night, even danced on the stage with the clan that represented the Mangaia Island. We love and thank you all and anticipate or look forward to meeting you in the coming years, as was mentioned by your King on the stage last night. Final events that took place this morning after main church was the unveiling of the memorial grave stone for late Rev. Ruatoka Materua with the Late Lakani Toi, the very man inspired by the Spirit of God to defend the Late Ruatoka Materua upon their LMS Arrival upon our shores Poreporena village 150 years ago (26/11/1873). This drum beat and dance is a signature performance of my Rakahangan people. The choreography dance is dearly focused mainly on the female and their actions. Their hips and movements identifies these signatures of how to move in the most respectful manner as a Rakahangan Women. It is a vital piece of history which was passed down from generation to generation. " Tamariki Rakahanga Tu motu Manihiki" this is referred to Te Fuinga o Niva meaning the 4 subtribes that concludes the Rakahanga and Manihiki people as one. In time of need or search for food, my people voyaged between these 2 islands to ensure the future generation will survive. I am honored to have been taught these history amongst my Rakahangan people. Therefore Hands down to all leaders who took time and effort in putting this master piece of our history together.
