I'm 60 and taught in university most of my years. I see some excellent pedagogy here. A 5-7 min B&W chalk talk where students follow the pen as the story evolves is in my opinion among the best teaching styles from perspective of reaching an intended learning outcome like weakest students keep up with strongest students. In your case, your writing is neat, so this style works well for you. I'd argue this would have been harmed by use of color. There is a need for some amount of teaching to not be Powerpoint or problem based learning, which would require more time, which might cause some de-focusing. Nice job!
