Watched a few of these videos about Mylar survival bags and each time there are used as sleeping bags lol. That is not the purpose. If you are in a wet and of windy environment and can not get to a warm and dry shelter then this where you use them. Not to sleep in but to protect you from the elements until you can move on. Trust me - 8 years Combat Medic in Northern Germany in all weather.

Correct me if I am wrong but this wasn't a real test, because you slept inside the tent. If someone goes outdoors with a tent, then he also has a real sleeping bag. The real use of these bivys as far as I understand is to take it with you on "hikes" when you don't plan to sleep, but then you get into trouble (let's say get lost) and need to sleep outside. In that case you wouldn't have a tent with you, only the bivy.

Didnt think you could skydive any higher than 15,000. Thats it, ill be having words. 60 seconds of freefall and these guys get 3-5 minutes. So not fair ha 😂

Not sure bout the record , I was involved in the military FreeFall rig test in 84 & 85 out of ADAG and we did jumps at 42, 39, 37. Some HAHO too. Tested new mask and O2 tanks. Nearly died in one jump from hypoxia and a slider lock on a system too wide the HAPPS rig. We were requiring from the makers parachutes capable of carrying 400lbs. Jumper plus gear and then it dawned on Mr. Strong. We can replace equipment with a tandem jumper. I wont say anymore but the MC3 the grey ghost was adopted and bye to the ole MT3 Vietnam error chute. The Military had a wing to fly with the eagles! Its been 40 years ago. Wow! Nomenclature error oops I am retired
