@RCGirl videos have been a MASSIVE help and influence throughout this first year in the hobby for me. I have the Traxxas backpack she uses as well, but I prefer this one now because the vehicle is latched higher up near my shoulders, and that makes the rig feel much lighter. The water bag and easy access to my tripods and cameras also means I don't have to keep taking the backpack off. :) We are not very different, my friend. I'm so sorry you live with chronic pain. I live with chronic pain as well, so I understand the physical and emotional pain that brings. I started on a program called, "DDP Yoga" that helped me a lot. I HIGHLY recommend you look it up and get started. It's really turning things around for me. I'm hoping it will do the same for you!

This is the 1:10 TRX-4 High Trail. Prior to this segment of the trail, the motor was upgraded to Hobbywing Fusion Pro 2300kv.

LOL! Yeah, this truck definitely didn't come back unscathed. She's been fixed and cleaned up. It's almost unrecognizable now. I'll see if I can get some footage of the truck's updated look in a future video. :)

Not only was that not all of my attempts, but the truck is sitting on the shelf next to me looking like none of that ever happened! I think this is my new favorite R/C!

@CyberOcelotRC I did! Love it, it has priceys shocks, hobbywing fusion pro, shift s2.0 servo and a bunch of ssd brass and it's a blast. Also did wheels and tires and the shocks which lowered it but kept all the flex.

AGREED! I feel like every truck should have a winch, really. In this case however, I really don't want this truck to start looking different from how it looks in the film, and that limits me a bit (which is a big part of the reason I have it as Level 1). During the cold spell, I have been working on this truck's upgrade. Hopefully I can get that video uploaded soon, and see what you think! :)

@@CyberOcelotRC fortunately, there are things like servo winches and internally mounted winches, that you can hide behind the grille or somewhere inside the chassis, and then you just need to place your fairlead. You could even have the winch mid or rear mounted with the fairlead coming out the back, as some crawlers already do. There are lots of options to hide the winch to not spoil the appearance of the truck. Something to think about, anyway. Even if you don't want to raise this one up to a higher level, it does provide some self recovery options for something like being high centred on a big log.

@@CyberOcelotRC The RGT Challenger RTR is worth looking at if you need some ideas. This thing comes with a servo winch, mounted in the back under the bed between the rear shock risers. I bet there's room under the bed between the frame rails in that Toyota for a similar setup.

It's so fun! It's definitely much more intense and challenging! I basically just go by satellite images and testimonials from other hikers.

Thanks for hanging out throughout the expedition, Jarrod! The truck seemed more capable than me climbing that slick incline. My knee still hurts from a good splat I editted out of the video. LOL! Working on expanding on the Trailing Blind idea. Hope to have another video up soon. But, wanna take my time on the next one, and see if I can do better quality wise. Hope to see you around when that video pops too. WOuld love to get your thoughts on it. :)

Hey! Thanks, Joe! I revisited the trail yesterday and brought the GoPro again. I'm definitely addicted! I decided this morning that I want this to be an expedition. I'm gonna try to see if I can complete this trail without knowing what's ahead! Wish me luck and stay tuned!

Do it!!! I've never done this before. I can't get my mind off it. Can't wait to go back. This was just the first 25 ft of the trail. Apparently, it's nearly a mile long.

@@AM-6030 I used the alltrails app and went for the easiest and shortest trail near me. :)
