Dam they built a lot of homes around that track.
Come on guys yall had plenty of room to be able to make four wode work and not touch like that. I raced same class when i was 10 and raced rear wheel drive mustang in a ministock class as well at a small 1/4 mile litside asphalt bull rign and havemany videos kf us going 4 wide and nobody got side ways and pt anything door slamming was jnvolved cause lf how small the track is and inside car with two tires on the grass but we made it work all the time going 4 wide with out wreckjng on the stinger class which ks same class in thise video and i was 10 lol. But it was also kne kf the most fun classes i raced in cause we had 20-30 cars every jight for the feature on a regular bassis and it was good hard 3 wide racing alpt of the times and by end of my first season my stinger car was beat up from hell and back the whole door on both sides was covered in tire ribber from doors rubbing each other thst you could t see my oainted on numbers or the color of the car anymore through all the rubber
Wow what a freak accidentall roll over it was so soft and gentle thank God saved the driver money on repairs and didn't require having to build a new car. This is what my first and only roll over looked like on asphalt when I was 12 I was 4 wide tiny little asphalt bull ring in my mustang mini stock before I got the pinto and our tires stuck out from the bodies a good bit and we ran American racers slicks on them so wheel hoping happened if you was careful well I got spun by car behind us while we was four wide and car that spun me I some how wheel hoped him as he was coming by me and I had a gentle slow speed and slow roll over onto my roof. It was so gentle I was able to restart the car and ended up winning the race only thing it damaged was the body and bent up my air cleaner cause our air filters stuck out of the hood as well due to being allowed a huge air filter spacer and a 1 1/2 inch carb spacer as well. And it bent my left rear shock up when they pushed my car back over ontonits wheels the impact when they rolled it back over ended up bending my shock cause you don't bend a shock from a slow roll over onto the roof when you wheel hoped with rr to begin with going very slow..ended up winning with a busted shock and a air cleaner that someone gave us to borrow off their pure stock with no spacer and a bent wheel that was losing air slowly as the race went on. Started with 10 psi and end of race it was out 3 psi lol
This is prime example where you can say as a driver or random person seeing this that you can say woulda shoulda coulda but it is what it is and the driver learned a expensive lesson on alot of times it's better to let it spin and lift off the throttle then trying to power through it and save it from spinning out. I learned early on to let the car spin and not save it unless your in the lead with a huge gap or it's the last lap going for the win other the. That let off throttle get on brakes if needed to slow it down and let her spin up high and out of the way of traffic. after I started doing that if someone tried spinning me out or tire goes down and something weird happens and spin on my own I have saved a lot of racecars from damage and didn't total a single racecar from age 11-31 years old cause I would let the car spin and not save it and it avoids this from happening especially on dirt. I have never totaled a single racecar where it needed a new front clip except one time and it was a metric based frame super stock where I got out in the wall on 2nd lap while leading cause guy was mad I set track record and car was legal when he protested my crank and carb during post qualifying tech and passed what tech was looking for originally as well. The weekend before he protested my heads and cam shaft and I was legal and for some reason he didn't believee when I told him my motor is 100 percent legal and it made alot of power cause I had it built by a really good engine builder And he couldn't believe that my built motor was out running the 604 crate motors because back then in the super stocks the built motors were getting whooped by the 604 crate motor because the crate motors are just so much more consistent and made a little bit more power well less power but they just were more consistent and had more torque but was way more consistent because they wasn't built motors where they would wear out or blow up every other race like a lot of guys built motors were but my built motor lasted seven seasons in that car and no one could believe it that it lasted that long without being rebuilt well that's what happens when you spend $20,000 on a built motor and get the best of the best parts put in it to ensure that it won't blow up and change the oil after every race and maintenance is key but he couldn't believe me by my word of mouth that my motor was 100% legal and when he found out that my camshaft was as small as it was he couldn't believe it and when he found out that my card was 100% legal It was just a regular stock Holley 500 with the choke removed until I got a VDL carburetor but I was running a stock Holley 500 two barrel cuz that's what you have to run if you got a built motor is a two barrel Holley 500 with restrictor plate and crate motors ran same carb but they was allowed 300 more rpms then built motors and we was turning 7200 in built motor and 7500 chip for crate 604 which is high for a 604 really but I was the last car to have ametric based frame rest was all tune chassis already cause rules was changed to allow pro latemodels and older outdated latemodels to race to build the class cause there was tons of old latemodels from the 90s-2015 at the time it was 2019 that was sitting and not being raced due to being outdated and cost of of racing was expensive in pro lates so they changed rules to allow any type of chassis tube or stock clipped based chassis ECT but it had to be a latemodel style chassis no modified chassis of course and before I ran my left hander chassis number 6 yes I had the 6th chassis and frame ever built by left hander I was running a metric frame based car with a adjustable track bar in the rear with Ford nine inch floater and that track bar I loved having it made that car handle so much better once I built it and fabbed one up for it cause I could make the car tighter or lower with it and not having to change my weight jacks and ride heights and scale it back out by turning weight jacks when I needed it s little tighter or more free by a hair and it fine tuned the setup even more as well. But nobody could believe that aetric based car with a abc latemodel body and built motor was able to beat tube chassis cars with crate 604 on the regular with outlaw latemodel bodies. But once I got my left hander chassis number 6 built I threw I throw back looking Camaro wedge style super latemodel/outlaw latemodel body on it and it had a Camaro stub front clip under sling tube chassis from cross member back with a winter quick change big spring car non coil over and it was out running coil over full state of the art brand new for that year pro latemodels. Sorry for the story I know it has nothing to do with the video really but it's a good one I guess hahaha. Remember you don't have to have the most up to date chassis you just got to have the best handling racecar with the most up to date shock or cool over technology out and the best parts money can buy on the chassis and you can be very competitive with a outdated chassis in classes like this or limited latemodel class and even latemodel stock racing I won a few of those with my left hander number 6 chassis on small 1/4 mile bull rings against brand new chassis cars cause it handled so well and would get through the corners faster then the other cars.

Is that car in the wrong class a super late with sportsman late models
@Jeremy-v8l3s Yes, it is. It's bracket racing which is a special weekend not part of the weekly points racing. A driver qualifies their car into a time bracket. This bracket can have a late model, Sportsman, hobby stock even a modified qualify into. If, during a race the driver exceeds their qualifying time by 0.2 seconds, as in the case of this race, the driver is considered "broken out" and is black flagged. Go to my UA-cam channel and look for Jefferson Blackjack '24 for complete races. Currently, there are three races posted, I will be adding more.

I didn’t even know they were racing legends at jefferson that’s cool. I wish Matt would come around and race more. My step dad used to be a flag man/ inspector. And Matt used to stop by my house when I was a kid and he would ask questions about rules. A good racer knows it’s all about the gray area between rules
That was some good stock car racing. The 22-52 race was a highlight. 22 was a little rough getting his nose inside of 52 in turn 3 & into 4. Lap or two later and the 22 is fully on the inside of 52 and 52 gives him room. The whole video seemed to be hard but not rough driving. With the obvious exception. He should help the guy he flipped fix the damage and bring the beer.
