    Watching from PEI. Interesting that you have had a wet summer, we have been extremely dry and hot this year. Plus side my pumpkins and squashs are producing like crazy. So are tomatoes and zucchini. Have you ever tried King of the North Bell Peppers? Growing them this year and they are healthy robust plants and quick to ripen. They are very prone to sun scald though.

    I don't see any kind of vents or heater, per se. Do you have to do anything to keep it 'extra' warm in the winter (besides the stones), or do you vent it or blow fans inside in the summer to keep it from getting too hot?

    • @NicolesGardenNS
      @NicolesGardenNS 20 днів тому

      I don’t heat it, it’s not necessary for my needs. As for ventilation, the door stays open 24/7 after last frost and a few of the windows stay open for a nice cross breeze.

    • @NicolesGardenNS
      @NicolesGardenNS 26 днів тому

      The nodes will likely grow once cut, but with only 5 leaves that doesn’t se ready to cut. If it’s growing that tall with few leaves, it likely needs more sun. I wouldn’t recommend cutting it yet.

    I have 2 of these in my backyard, and they are huuuge, and I really want to cut them up and propagate them. The reason I want to do that is because my neighbour thought they were on their property (our boundary is a bit vague) and I want to save them because they just cleared a lot of greenery on their property. Their main trunk and leaves are seriously huge and thicccc Question: Will they remain huge, and new leaves be equally huge as they regrow? I want to have them as indoor plants. I'd like a slightly small monstera in my house, but I want to save these ones. Going by your method in this video I could get a number of them. I also heard that they should sit in water for some months before repotting? Does that depend on the maturity of the plant and root system? I'm kind of just assuming that they'll be huge because the plant is old and large, and the leaves will match the current energy. I hope this makes sense haha. (I'm kind of new to plants. In my plant dad era) Thanks!

    • @NicolesGardenNS
      @NicolesGardenNS Місяць тому

      Hi! I assume you are in a tropical climate if they are growing outdoors happily. If you can take a cutting off the very top it may be a bit smaller, and growing indoors they won’t really get as big. It also depends on the variety, there are many dwarf varieties on the market. You definitely don’t need to sit them in water, I planted mine directly in soil. If you want to see the root development though, this is a good way of doing it. Depending on your indoor conditions, the leaves MAY continue to be huge, but that’s not guaranteed. My recommendation, go for it! Take multiple cuttings and try it both ways, that way you’ll have lots and if you find they root faster in water, please let me know :)

      @@NicolesGardenNS Thank u! i found some leaves (Someone throwed them out like trash, poor things) and i am trying to root them. But i'm uncertain if i should try it on water or directly on soil.
