We shoot fishing videos in NYC and neighboring areas.
Jetty Fishing - Small Stripers on the Diamond Jig
Spent the day picking off some smaller schoolie striped bass from the jetty with a diamond jig. Could see some blitzes that morning off out of casting range with probably some bigger fish, but this school of smaller ones kept us busy and happy.
Gear:
Rod - Tsunami Trophy Series II, 10 foot medium;
Reel - Van Staal VR75
Line - 20 lb power pro mainline, 20 lb yo-zuri hybrid line for leader
Lure - 3 oz AVA diamond jig with red tail.

Trying out a new dough bait for the carp at Central Park to try out. It ended up getting me my PB! Will definitely be using the new bait whenever I go now.

This compilation of clips was gathered at the tail end of the striped bass fall run in November 2023. The majority of the fish I caught that day were all on a topwater spook. I use oats,panko,sweet cream corn and jello mix. I’m going to make my way down to Central Park one of these days for some carp fishing.
The fishing is pretty good year round! Def plan a trip out! Nothing quite like catching a carp in the middle of Manhattan.

Oh. Sorry about that. I live on the Blue Cypress Swamp in South East Central Fla. 5-7 pounders are considered small down here.
