(Loved this video like ❤️❤️❤️) I finished this book yesterday, and this book is such an important gem. Especially when your insular thoughts can be overwhelming when entering into your life (“or is your life her life?”) and just the symbiotic tie between mother and daughter. Unless you make a choice/attempt to cut this tie, (not to excuse the harm but to take hold of your own choices) you will continue the cycle of this tie. To be able to realize your mother is sexual, human, alive and not just mother. Thank you Hot Literati 💙

This is wonderful and very helpful. I feel like most people who strive for an intellectual creativity seem to cling to the wild child and danger seekers who often seem to be dismissive of the feelings of those around them. Especially if you perceive these persons as talented or of merit. But overall attraction is fickle and hardly permanent.

I’ll add that the same technology they used in the casinos is the same technology they are using in social media apps, gig working apps and shopping apps, and crypto/trading apps. So “gambling” is in every aspect of our lives now, getting us to work harder and consume more while getting more and more depressed.

beautifully said !kind of reminds me of this quote i've thought about recently reading nineteen eighty-four; 'Reality exists in the human mind, and nowhere else.'

Yes! Me and this his professor I used to work for would share black tea out this red tea pot and sweets. We would grade his students papers, and talk about history, books, music, and the shenanigans his daughters would get into 😂❤ Sharing food and also life experiences all makes life a little more digestible.

Jonathan Haidt is a saint for entertaining this nonsense 🙉 Although I do believe it's necessary to get in touch with Gen Z, this is just showing how little they know and how vapid they are.

I listened for about 10 minutes and then I realized I was interested in hopefully getting a glimpse into the disillusion of the relationship as some insight to my own breakup, rather than enjoying the dialogue. But I imagine at some point it was worth it to have once been than to have never been in love. What have I let social media do to me?

Such a wonderful conversation, and even to the effect of needing more in-person discourse, I would love (and will make an effort) to just talk more and share little more with friends and foes alike. I think we all deserve a little good conversation and check-in of the overall scope of times that we live in. Thank you Halio and the Hot Literati community 💕💕💕💕

Waiiit it feels like we're sorta going back to the beginnings of UA-cam again, where people used to just record things on their own random cameras or whatever and it all was so homemade and just for fun. And people shared whatever felt meaningful to them or what was fun to make. I feel like more people are doing that again and it's so nice
