I like the tone that comes out of the whammy but yeah reapitch is incredible and I never see anyone use it
I'll give you a secret cause I've seen how Buster axtually made the thrown guitar tone. Tons of processing on the DI, a LP to around 3-5k to remove harsh upper range, then a pretty massive peak around 2-3k to boost the pick noise, parallel with an OD pedal around 30%, to amother q with a side only boost for mids, parallel gojira fatso with the eq but the eq only have the last 3 q's on, transient desinger in high ,ids for attack.

Try using the massive cabs in ggd cali with sm57 and m160, thats what buster used, should get you even closer

Man that sounds so fucking good. Too bad I don't have some of those mixing plugins available. Need to try some others. I have the fabfilter stuff luckily.

I also experienced the same thing after buying the Digitech Whammy DT. It's mostly become just a fun practice tool rather than something I can use in a mix. The DIs sound terrible through it and the artifacts and pitch wobble are really noticeable. Reapitch or the Neural DSP transposer are much clearer.

@@Vildnatur Yes I do. When I play kinda high notes they're put like an octave higher and it sounds really bad. The lower notes are okay weirdly
@@goblator4186 oh okay i forgot to say in the video that when u play very high note it will sound weird and u need to create another track just for the high note with the high formant settings or just default and it will sound great but it really depends on the DI

reapitch owns ! ive been using it for a while, only downside is its only good for mixing, it has crazy latancy.

I didn't know about the algorithm settings, but I still prefer using KHz Repitch thanks to the absurdly low latency you can achieve; haven't had any luck reducing it with reapitch.

Some its just 0 and the high one its harmonics but i put effect on induvidual track like gojira plugin eq to boost high like 10 db just smash it

I've been using inner pitch and have liked it as long as you dont go more than 7 semitones down. I'll have to try reapitch out though
Even if Buster has done videos on his mixing already, any tutorial from another person's perspective is always helpful so definitely post a video showing how you got this sound!

Yeah, it's really surprising how good the Reaper pitch shifter is compared to many others! Soloist -> speech and 3.3.3 Pro are my go-tos every time. As for whammys, I recommend the Kuassa emulation, the best whammy emulation in my opinion!
