This channel will feature videos about camping, MTB riding, camping related reviews and anything related to the great Aussie outdoors where I love being out in. Most of my camps are 1 to 3 night trips in Tasmania and lower states of the mainland of Australia. I drive a second hand Holden Colorado I want to show people that you really don't need a 50k 4wd and 100k caravan to enjoy camping, you can do it with a basic setup. I built my own camping trailer and tow a very small caravan when travelling with my wife, neither have TV's or air-conditioning as its more important for me to be outdoors. I really started this channel just to put up reviews on camping gear and show my camping set-ups and its blossomed from there. Its purely done for the fun of it so I'm trying to keep it simple so I don't lose interest. You're not going to see any fancy edits and acting, just plain and simple videos

Welcome to my first camping trip for 2024, I got out for 2 nights just south of Bridport in Northern Tasmania. I got out for some MTB riding to Tippogorre and had a crack at a double black diamond track, did I do it or stack in the attempt, watch and see. I also had a look at the Low Head Lighthouse. Hope you enjoy. Cheers.

Hope everyone has a great Christmas and new year and I will see you on the trails in 2024. Cheers

Nice spot
What sort of fauna is in that region?
@markshaw2439 pretty much the same as everywhere esle in Australia, kangaroos mostly
Thanks for showing me how to cook the chicken, to date all I have used the oven for is to cook spaghetti! Like always a great video. Oh by the way I have finished my 6x4 roof top tent camp trailer. Cheers Rog.
No problem, would love to see some pictures of the trailer setup.
Hello Trevor, the tracks look like they need a bit of work to make them wheel chair friendly and I was hanging out to see the boiler to see if it could be resurrected. The one close to home here probably never will be.
@@bh.boilers yeah have no idea where that boiler was, bush must of covered it up.
Great video thanks for sharing, and do appreciate the maps you show on screen too.
@stevens8744 no problem
What a great review. I did the trip in May 2016 and had more or less the same experience. I will never go on a big cruise ship, it’s not for me. But the Hurtigruten I can recommend to everyone.
Yes it certainly is a great cruise to do
@@Gunnadoo isn’t it great how the internet works. You’re in Tasmania, I’m in The Netherlands 😊
Yes it is but I've been out camping in the wilderness and had to drive about 25klms to get connected.
@@Gunnadoo I hope you have a great time camping
@tiniselles just incase your interested I did a video on the whole cruise as well. Here's the link. ua-cam.com/video/Qxu1gjfZmfU/v-deo.html.
useful thank you
@@shinodainc no problem
interesting. have wondered about the gauge
Great video as always. The drone shots are always inredible
@@macapaca6174 Thanks mate
I absolutely love these, I was at the murray recently near Berry and it was just spectacular
@Kurtis11266 yes lovely place.
Yep us men and bald heads are worst then shower heads lol in the warmer weather
@andrewelisehem6862 yes very true
Thank you very much for doing this review. We found it extremely helpful and pragmatic!
No problem, glad I could help.
As someone with an 80 series that has barn doors, this awning might be something I could configure for my setup. I recently bought a roof rack as I was given a roll-out awning and needed a roof rack to fasten it to as there is no way to attach a side awning other than drilling holes and permanently affixing it to the vehicle. I love the air line water hose idea. You have a very well setup ute there... !! I am like you, I only go away for a few days at a time mostly weekends or long weekends etc..
@TimsBitsnPieces Thanks for the positive response, greatly appreciated
A great idea and well thought out.. cheers.
Another great video. Will have to put Big Billy campground on my list of camps to visit- looks good.
Yeah honestly it's well worth a visit, can explore the surrounding towns or 4wd or trailbike ride, from what I remember when we met that's what you liked doing, am I correct ?
中国製の粗悪ベアリングを使っています、壊れる前に早く交換することを進めます、安全のため。

Hurtigruten is the 130 year-old coastal ship route that ferried people, mail and goods up and down the Norwegian coast, making 34 port calls at many locations from Bergen to Kirkenes. Only recently have they become known as "cruise"-ships.
It's a ship and it cruised along the coast of Norway, good enough terminology for me.
These videos really brighten up my day mate. Thank you
Great content as always, looking forward to the next video!
Saya sangat suka konten anda. Lanjut kan ❤
Great video! How did you fix the false floor to the trailer floor? Is that a plywood? Thanks
I'm not really sure what your asking with false floor ?
@@Gunnadoo I would like to know how you bolted the battery, titan drawer to the trailer flat bed tray. It looks like there is a plywood floor underneath or you bolted straight on to the trailer flat bed?
@@holyparikrama it's just bolted straight to the trailer flat bed, no wood in between
Boy you're getting around.
Yes, adventure before dementia 😃
Amazing shots, especially with the mountains! Do you have any plans for another trip like this?
Nothing in the near future, we haven't ruled out a trip back that way again it might be a while.
Excellent review from as far away from Tasmania as you could possibly get, looks every bit as good as the "Inside passage" look forward to seeing the remainder of the trip, no little doggy though. Ray.
Im actually doing a review on the Hurtigruten cruises in my next video
Looks like a great experience 👍
It was!
You should have burnt it off before cooking on it 😳😖
.
Flimsy looking things. They will rust out real quick
And yet it hasn't, still going strong. If you've only seen it on this video then your opinion is based on nothing.
Awesome video! 👍👍
Attach a 12v or battery powered bulge fan to the chimney and that will fire it up and will pull the smoke up the chimney🔥💨
.
Are you aware this is your 108th video!
Actually my 109th one .
I have seen the rest on youtube, I still reckon you have got THE BEST - no sweat .....
Thanks for that, I'm quite proud of it.
Nice video. Scamander is great. The coffee at Swims is fantastic. 🙂
Legendary spot
Lovely potbelly stove! What is it?
It's the Kings Premium Camp oven, I liked it but actually don't have it anymore as I ran out of room in my camper trailer. I did a review on it though, here's the link ua-cam.com/video/LP7v0EsgeHc/v-deo.html
Another awesome video and my wife said it is good to see you're not burning your food. I have almost finished making my roof top tent trailer with awning. I want to send you photos but I don't know how to attach the photos. Anyway looking forward to seeing more future videos. Cheers Rog & Anna
Do you have Facebook?
Far too much wood in that fire, its choking. Your wood splits are far too big and theres not enough airflow, which is why its smoking too much
Possibly, but thats your opinion and I've got mine.
@@Gunnadoo my opinion is based on fact and many years of running an offset smoker.
Go back to my first reply.
@@Gunnadoo congratulations on your arrogance. It seems to have taken years of practice. I wont be following you.
Jesus's mate you've had your say what more do you want, I wasn't rude but you just wanted to keep commenting, honestly do you have one of these products. Honestly if you don't want to follow me it really is your decision, I'm not really bothered.
Very impressive climb mate well done
Thankfully a short steep bit although I toke a couple of days to get over the sore knee's 😅
Always makes me want to go camping in the bush when I watch your videos!
Thanks mate, this one was a good one, been a bit to long between camps.
Excellent effort, a red line on strata does not give the degree of difficulty, now do you get nervous flying your drone at the top of the mountain. Regards Ray.
No not nervous, very calm up there and a flat spot to land.
thanks for informative video ,great drone footage, glad you rectified the issue. just wondering if a high roof transit van would be ok getting into Happy Valley crossing? safe travels.
From what I remember yes it would
When all else fails it's back to rock technology. Our caveman ancestors were pretty smart. Great job on the video. I'm currently sourcing out bike trailers and the Schwinn is on my list.
Outstanding!! Simple, organised and everything has it's place. Well thought out. Love it!
Yep still going strong.
Thank you, got some great ideas
After hours of searching I have finally found the right set up for me as I have the same trailer. Would you be able show some images on how the solar and awning rack attaches to the trailer when closed and how it is secured when open? Cheers keep up the great vids
Ok that's going to be hard as I can't post photos on these comments. I hold the solar panel on to the frame of the awning frame using small tailgate latches, the ones that are straight and go through a hole and then you turn it over.
@@Gunnadoo No dramas. I actually meant how do you secure the frame to the wheel arch when closed and when you put it up how does it stay secure from falling or closing back down. Happy to give an email if that helps with pictures
Yeah happy for email and if you go over to Facebook I have a page there and you can contact directly via PM and I can send pictures
The double pin 12 v plug are on the domestic fridge. Unscrew the 12 v plug and it is inside it. Perfect to screw in the domestic fridge connection and it won’t wiggle out when driving. All set up in a pod trailer.
Yeah I just put an Anderson plug on my fridge.
Wish you could show more about the bag rather than holding it with the backside to the camera
.
Looks easy enough. And it would be nice to know. Cheers buddy.
Thanks
Now Gunna, a very nice installation but I expected to see a pair of well polished brass gauge glasses. Regards Ray.
Nope, thats for you old-timers
My mate has one useless just smokes no matter what you do, has bad air flow design
Yep well mine worked fine so I think that your mate didn't know how to operate it properly.
Well my mate ended up buying a Winnerrwel nomad large sized camping stove and it is fantastic absolutely no smoke comming out the front and you can shut the front door and after 5 min of start up no smoke out of the flue. this unit burns kleen, i even put green lemmon tree leaves in and no smoke . And the burn intensity is so controlable He gave me the kings and i played around with it all afternoon with a wellder and a plasma cutter and the conclusion the flue is way to small in diameter , as in your video it smokes out of the top plate edges ,out the front and in every youtube review i have watched they all have the front door open because they are trying to reduce the smoke but it will still give everyone sitting around it streaming tears .And its failing to be an inclosed unit if you have to have the front door open or the lid off it for it to burn and it still produces too much smoke.@@Gunnadoo
Well good for him, hope he likes it, as I said I had no problem with mine.
@@Gunnadoo Its like you say mate. if you use nice dry small bits of wood once the chimney heats up it gets good draw and there's next to no smoke from the bottom. Once its up to temp you just put single logs in. And when you get it right it uses very little wood. And yes that's with the door shut and the vent open. I've got the water jacket attachment on mine and it works great too. Plus its about $150 and packs into a 60 litre plastic box I got from Bunnings perfectly.
I really like the style of your videos. Laid back and no BS. Just be aware of issues with Tas Parks & Wildlife as experience by Rob Parsons and Levi Triffit. (ua-cam.com/video/gWmiLpMSBjY/v-deo.html) If you become too popular, you might make the "hit list".
Thanks greatly appreciated. Yes well aware and their issues but I'm not monetising my channel ever as it's not worth the hassle, its just for fun now.
You experience difficulties with organic channel monetization, organic views, and revenue because of this. These are the problems I discovered: Your videos do not have a title, description, video tag, channel tag, or video SEO applied to them. Your UA-cam channel is not expanding for this reason. If you completely tailor your channel, there's a chance the video can become viral
Honestly I couldn't give a shit anymore about that I just do it for the fun
@@Gunnadoo If you want I can grow your channel through which you can earn and your videos will go viral
