The old place is not like it was as we left in 1948 to go to live in Salisbury (wiltshire UK) as our father had been working in England for some years..I was ten years old then,,,,,,,I have seen many places since then I am now 85 Years Old now and have been to many places since from the middle east..to the far east..all on the service of the United Kingdom.. I have been back to Monasterevin many times since..do not suppose I will now see the old place again in this life....God Bless all who read this now..Regards..... Eamonn Johnston Ex Gurteenoona
