New York Times v Sullivan

It seems like the media is often biased against law enforcement officers. After all, dramatic news sells well and it's a lot less dramatic to say that officers are making the best decisions in tough situations. But when is too much - too much? When can a police officer, sheriff's deputy, state trooper, or other LEO sue the press for what they say. The United States Supreme Court actually set th...
Be Careful Using Personal Phones
Переглядів 620Місяць тому
In law enforcement, officers can be held over for any number of reasons. Police officers are familiar with updating family and friends when they have been held over, or are okay after a critical incident. Sheriff's deputies, state troopers, and every other type of LEO should also be aware of the risk involved by using your phone - personal or work - on a scene. Check out the video for more.

Переглядів 173Місяць тому
This may be one of the biggest issues facing individual law enforcement officers today; mental health. Police officers are subject to everyone else's worst day. Knowing that, it's no surprise that a state trooper, sheriff's deputy or other cop would be under constant pressure mentally. After all, LEOs are just people and all people need to maintain their mental health. Check out the video for t...

Here is What We've Found Wrong with the DOJ Report SO FAR
Переглядів 2,4 тис.2 місяці тому
The United Stated Department of Justice Phoenix report seems to be a poorly researched document full of mischaracterizations. We have provided examples - and more may follow. With so many obvious blunders, it's a wonder anyone would consider using the report as the basis for anything. Check out the video for more!

Переглядів 9302 місяці тому
Did you know that Arizona State law allows police, deputies and troopers to request that their face be removed from videos and images accessible to the public? That's right! in fact, any cop or LEO can ask that a judge issue an order to do just that. These simple steps in this video can help any department, administrator, or law enforcement officer to better protect the men and women who serve ...

Justice can start again
Any chance the DOJ investigators can be Brady Listed?
Does that mean, Rape kits are certified untampered tested. Charges for dereliction of duties and aiding Rapists. When rape kits are not tested.?
They are fired and dismissed to retirement. To not be charged for violating American's inalienable Constitutional protections rights and freedoms.
Is this in effect?
The officers should have said they were looking for a notice of suspension.
So let’s say a particular media outlet puts a story out that comes from the DOJ website and a specific website put out by a police department that gave the media all the facts surrounding all facts involved in the case. Yet, this particular news outlet didn’t show all the facts provided which spun the story in a completely different way after omitting specific facts. The media outlet also did a public records request to have even more facts surrounding the incident explained and still refused to show all the facts in the story, placing the officers reputation in jeopardy amidst the community and placing the officer in danger if people contacted had seen the same story from the news outlet. Wouldn’t having all the facts and not presenting the facts show that the reporter knowingly falsely reported the story by omitting key facts to the incidents?
Wouldn't a cop,or some officers use his gun to defend his canine partner?
Funny thing is the this violence noted in 1:05 was PhxPD shooting pepperballs at "the ground" which you know is slang for anywhere below the waist of the protestors, why no video of the incident, boring youtube
This video summarizes a court decision - so to remain faithful to what the Court held, I chose not to include videos of the protest. The ultimate conclusion was that PPD's decision to disperse the crowd after individuals became violent was lawful. The full opinion - which establishes what is lawful - can be found here - cdn.ca9.uscourts.gov/datastore/opinions/2024/12/19/22-15344.pdf
We need to reset the judicial system it’s out of control.
Dispersing the crowd is a 1st amendment violation.
Not after individuals in the crowd engage in unlawful behavior. cdn.ca9.uscourts.gov/datastore/opinions/2024/12/19/22-15344.pdf
D O J Derelicts Obstructing Justice
Pure BS
I'm summarizing what's in the Ninth Circuit's published opinion - which analyzed what happened and determined that the PPD's conduct on this date was lawful. If you think that I did not accurately report on what the Court held (and what the law is) please feel free to let me know. The full opinion can be found here - cdn.ca9.uscourts.gov/datastore/opinions/2024/12/19/22-15344.pdf
Bull
Ha ha ha ha!!! I have watched video after video after video of the Phoenix PD violating rights, being bullies, giving unlawful orders, pushing people on the street, getting in people's faces, trying to incite physicality... They're bullies who are ignorant of the law when it's convenient. Direct D's channel alone has a bunch. Cops work together to try to CREATE violations .
Pheonix is the 2nd most corrupt police department in the country. Anything it takes to straighten out that corruption should be done.
Is this about when individual's groins were targeted by PHX PD and a coin passed around when they hit the mark? If not, can you point me to the video you made saying the officers were wrong and should be held to a higher standard/prosecuted please
Court will always be for the cop's because that's how they get paid
Does anybody ever expect a police chief to say her men behaved unlawfully? Sometimes expectations behinds the outcome to these scenarios is comical. Or at least it would be if law-abiding citizens weren't harmed or criminalize for exercising their constitutional rights. The court are suppose to be neutral. Yet in every encounter they almost always side with the cops, not the people. Does anyone ever consider why the people are protesting in the first place? Is it because they have nothing better to do. Or is it because their rights and freedom is being threatened? There is one logical reality that authorities always tend to ignore: First, people don't riot when they're happy with their government. And second, the government serves the people. Not the other way around.
Puente v city of Phoenix
The DOJ and the FBI are not to be trusted ever again. They are ALL compromised!!!
lol despite
Polygraphs are merely PROPS! Complete buffoonery, and only meant as a tool to spook out a confession from subjects. Basically, boils down to what the “operator” believes. Quack science and meaningless results other than the fact, and the only fact, they ruin peoples lives, especially truthful ones being labeled “deceptive.”
You need to stop calling it rights. Cops have no more rights than any other citizen. They are given powers by the state. This just affirms their power and authority to perform this action. Calling them rights misconstrues what rights are.
Just a question! What about the so called 1st amendment auditors that published a false video! Or video with false statements? 🤔🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸Thanks
So is this currently in effect?
It seems like Sullivan should have sued the MLK group. Example: "Trump wants to outlaw abortion, and eliminate Social Security & Medicare"(Both are LIES!) Leftist Media FactCheck: TRUE! (because Kamala ACTUALLY said that, so we didn't Lie). But with cops, you have to go thru one More layer of the "justice" system: Internal Affairs(Prof. Standards)-- "We investigated ourselves, and found No wrongdoing!" I find it rather hypocritical that cops are crying about the unfairness, when they have Frazier v Cupp(1969).
The press should have to at least meet a burden of proof to be able to report. Even if it’s a small burden, it would put some faith back into what the media reports.
I’m aware of a department who offers a stipend for sworn employees who are regularly subject to on-call status. The stipend is offered in lieu of having a government issued phone and thus having to carry two phones (one personal and one work) during on-call status. Allegedly it offsets a portion of the cost of the employee’s personal phone bill since he/she is mandated to be available by phone during those on-call periods. When the topic of subpoenas for work related calls, texts, emails, etc came up the command staff offered assurances that employees would have the opportunity to redact any personal data before release. Do you agree this practice is fraught with potential problems and should be avoided? I would think that, because the government is essentially paying the bill, it may open the door for a potential seizure of the device itself thus allowing whomever the court may appoint to analyze both personal and work data to determine what portion of that data is subject to a subpoena.
What is Drop?
Does AZCOPS get involved in the collective barganing/meet and confer aspects? Having difficulty in Maricopa County Sheriff's Office, as they will not collectively bargan or recognize a union. They say by law they are not allowed to have meet and confer which seems strange because all the city departments around us have it.
We do - if you would like more information, please feel free to reach out to the AZCOPS office.
What are the exemptions for a service vehicle if you own an auto repair facility. And have a service vehicle for roadside assistance?
US Supreme Court has maintained through case law that police have no duty to protect citizens and the ugly truth is that they don't they will only drive code 3 when it is a benefit to themselves because they have qualified immunity and do not care if they hurt the public or not
With the possibilty of missing-out on some extra Excessive Force used by Phoenix PD, to De-escalate the situation? NEVER! I used to be Pro-Police, but even with Dash/Bodycams, they can't control themselves.
Keep up the good fight, stopping the fake news of the DOJ trying to paint oficers in a bad light so the monitors and the lawyers can swoop in and start milking the city of phoenix for millions of dollars just like they have been doing at MCSO for the last ten years.
Love the work!
Cops = Government DOJ = Government Government = Bad All government is bad. Cops are the strong arm of the parasitic politicians.
The bottom line is that the current state of policing in America necessitates a comprehensive and far-reaching reform. Each day, new footage emerges that highlights instances where officers may have used excessive force, infringed on citizens' rights, or made questionable arrests. Such incidents indicate a critical need to address systemic issues within the law enforcement framework, aiming for a model that prioritizes accountability, transparency, and respect for all citizens' rights. A re-evaluation of training protocols, accountability measures, and the role of policing in communities would help build a more just and effective system. Focusing on these reforms can ensure that officers have the tools they need to serve and protect while upholding the values and freedoms central to a fair society.
when the forces of darkness battles out the forces of evil, and the taxpayers are paying for it.
Where is the body cam video of these cases
how surprising .. "we investigated ourselves and found nothing wrong" .. blah blah blah
Great job Mr. Sebalik...Keep up the outstanding work!!!!
lol welcome to arizona
Biden's DOJ is a real mess. The agency is obviously being misused for political purposes. Heck, they already admitted to Congress that they altered evidence in the "Trump documents trial", and that is just the tip of the iceberg! Clearly this is yet another example of them making specious accusations in order to justify their gross over-reach. Truly shameful....
Remember P-Nut and Freddy
Screw all of you tyrants.
Really, why would anyone believe and trust your biased opinion. You really want people to believe that what they actual know about policing in Phoenix that the DOJ is making it up.
There are several incidents that the public are curious about. Pages 113-114 and 115-116. Seems like officers can shoot multiple people and still keep their jobs. Curious how an officer can be involved in so much and still be on the street. How do you defend that? I’ve read the reports and have seen that officers get into several critical incidents within a short amount of time and can go back to work? Just to shoot another person? How? Please explain! You seem level headed, I would love to hear your take after hearing abc15
