First ever autocross and driving event I've ever attended! As a complete beginner I learned so much and had a ton of fun. I definitely want to attend more autox events in the future and also some track time. I had four total runs; first two runs were with an instructor and then remaining were solo. My fastest time is my first run since I spun out on my second run so I decided to dial it back on...

My dad did the same thing when I took him rallycrossing for the first time. He just kept yelling "BRAKE BRAKE BRAKE" about 50 ft before the breaking point at each turn. We did one run and then he said "Maybe it's better if I just watch from outside of the car" lol

It's funny how boring it is to watch when it's done well, and how violent it seems inside the car.

My Dad in the car with me at a dirt day in the WRX, all day was fine, he was enjoying it until I pushed especially hard through a corner, had it sideways through a long sweeping right hander that ends with a sharp left hand corner, doing 100Km/h I drop a gear, throw the car from sliding right to sliding left, full lock, foot flat to the floor, all I hear from the passenger seat is "Fuck you, you need a fucking roll cage". He didn't get in the car after that. Mission success, scare Dad.
LOL that's amazing. I would love to try something like that in the future. Sliding around in the dirt looks so much fun.
@@lamb_s2kIt's a lot of fun, Get some cans of Plastidip spray and spray from halfway up your front wheel arches to the top corner of the boot to protect the paint. Mask a sharp line and it'll peel off when you're done
