    Nice video but for those of us who are not great mechanics, and have never done the procedure - it would have been nice to have videod each step - like taking the pump off - taking the clamp off - taking the screen out and putting in and then reconnecting the clamp and reinstalling the pump - it would help for step by step instructions for us not so shadetree mechanics. thanks.

    Thanks for the video, really good even though you just narrated and didn't show the work. Your good at explaining! Why not replace the lower ball joint while doing all this? I've heard they go out. And rather than just grease for the sensor, why not anti-seize?

    • @antonio0072007
      @antonio0072007 2 місяці тому

      Thanks for the feedback trying to balance filming the steps that might not be intuitive with keeping the video short. I had no issues with ball joints so didn’t replace but your logic is sound, this would be a good time to replace them. As for the wheel speed sensor hole, I think grease or anti-seize would work. Use whatever you think will last longer; Without threads to keep the anti-seize in place I don’t think it would last longer than grease.

    • @antonio0072007

      I see no other way to do it. You have to turn the crankshaft and camshaft to get the piston to top dead center to check the valve clearance. Because of the centrifugal clutch you cannot place the transmission in gear, turn the rear wheels and turn the crankshaft. The crankshaft will not move using this method. Therefore you have to pull the clutch cover and spin the clutch on the engine side by hand. Hopefully that makes sense to you.

It was previously owned by my sister & always on time with all the maintenance at the dealership except the transmission fluid because dealership says it’s sealed & lifetime transmission fluid. I was only able to drain 1.5 quarts of the old transmission, filled 2 quarts, did the process of checking the right temp & drained excess trans fluid. Happy to say so far after the test drive, that the van is driving normally. Btw, it was driving ok, no issues prior to Trans fluid replacement. The old Fluid was brown & did not smell burnt. 😅
