I bought the carrier bearings on rockauto.com. There are 2 carrier bearings on these 3 piece driveshafts.

I’m not exactly sure what you mean. If you are referring to the puller I really don’t know because I rented the only puller they had at autozone.

Possibly, I didn’t have one and was about to buy one to try it before I realized my boxed end wrench would work.

Thanks for the feedback trying to balance filming the steps that might not be intuitive with keeping the video short. I had no issues with ball joints so didn’t replace but your logic is sound, this would be a good time to replace them. As for the wheel speed sensor hole, I think grease or anti-seize would work. Use whatever you think will last longer; Without threads to keep the anti-seize in place I don’t think it would last longer than grease.

Try draining the transmission oil, if it contains water than the bearings are probably corroded and will need to be changed.

Normally I get all my sprinter parts from europarts-sd.com, however, on big ticket items I usually do a quick google search of the part number to check if I can buy it cheaper somewhere else. In the case of these knuckles I actually found them for $277 each on buymercedespartsnow.com. I listed the part numbers for my van in the description of this video. The abs wheel speed sensors were about $45 each, again I did a google search of the part number on found the cheapest price on carpartsdiscount.com

I would start by removing the starter from the bike and hooking up 12v power to it and make sure it actually spins the little gear.

You have to remove the exhaust to make room to get to the starter, it’s not too bad of a job.

I see no other way to do it. You have to turn the crankshaft and camshaft to get the piston to top dead center to check the valve clearance. Because of the centrifugal clutch you cannot place the transmission in gear, turn the rear wheels and turn the crankshaft. The crankshaft will not move using this method. Therefore you have to pull the clutch cover and spin the clutch on the engine side by hand. Hopefully that makes sense to you.

@@marekoravec7092 2018-19 ktm husky did not have it, but the newer gas gas with ktm engine should be like the 2020 and after (second generation tpi) that have the screen

@@marekoravec7092 only two generations. main thing with second gen is the crank case pressure sensor

It should be .06-.09mm for intake and exhaust clearance.

I only buy used vehicle so i have no idea if the amount of fluid in the transmission is the correct amount so i cannot use your method.

The oil seal is a metal ring covered in rubber

It would probably work, the atv can haul me and my boys around together just fine, plenty of power.

I had jack stands positioned under the front frame lift points just behind the front wheels. I used a single floor jack to lift the rear of the vehicle using the floor jack lift point (its a tow hook looking thing under the center rear of the van). I placed a level under the bottom door sill just to the rear of the jack stands.

I saw one video they seemed to place a magnetic digital angle finder right in the trans pan

@@chocotoynk2931 yeah I just did mine yesterday. I already had a magnetic digital angle finder. I was level to .5 degrees just sitting in garage. I put it right on the trans pan. You could put a bubble water level on it to to check

I did replace it and i still had a leak, had to use teflon tape on the threads of the drain bolt

In my method i am draining the outlet line of the trans cooler, its the line closest to the driver side and exits the radiator looking trans cooler.

I haven’t experienced that issue but i would start by checking the valve clearance and throttle position sensor

Mine had 120,000 and was at least the 2nd time the trans fluid had been changed. I believe the manual calls for changing the trans fluid every 60,000 miles.

Good strategy of only draining small amount of fluid. Do that frequently (maybe every 30k miles) and you should be good.

No worries, i shopped around online for the driveshaft but found that all the prices were roughly the same so i ordered from my local mercedes dealer which facilitated the core return

The filter and pan gasket i purchased aftermarket from rockauto, not the same quality as oem to be honest but i change them every 60,000 miles and have never had any issues. The fluid is OEM Toyota ATF WS, i recommend you stick with toyota recommended fluid. If i recall correctly i think i found the best price on ebay.

~4 hrs to remove and 4 hrs to install. Keep in mind i was doing it for the first time and didnt have a video to reference so i was flying blind.

@@antonio0072007 I learned about it in this video. There has been a recall for specific models where they replace the clamp. But much more were affected. If you fix it yourself you can just add a second clamp on there or look out for it occasionally. ua-cam.com/video/qysvAehqiFA/v-deo.html

@@antonio0072007 I was also able to knock the sensor back and forth enough to pry it up and out...

My guess is the previous owners drove the atv in water that was above the transmission breather tube, water entered the transmission and they did not drain or change the transmission oil. Water just sat in the transmission and corroded the bearings.
