this isn't a solo

tuning in the upper register does take a bit of focus and adjustment I took me a while to nail that. Little more voicing than on c or alto flute . Saxophone playing should yield a good command of voicing.

That C bass flute, the F bass recorder & the C great bass recorder should make a good trio.

So THAT is what this instrument is 😆. I was trying to reconstruct a classical piece and there was an instrument that sounded like a cross between a flute, a bassoon, and a low brass instrument. Bass flute....awesome 👍

im very tempted to get a bass flute now

I was looking up different types of flutes and searched "bass flute" just out of curiosity. This was the first video that popped up. Hearing this, the first thing I'm thinking is, this sounds like the instrument from "The Jungle Book" during the intro. Now I'm toying with the idea of buying a flute and learning to play in my free time. Seems like it would be a fun hobby.
