Fair points, but bottling a 3-0 lead is on nobody else but the players. They are professional footballers. I’ll admit ten hag has made a lot mistakes, but letting that lead slip is only down to poor mentality from the players. This has been an issue at united long before ten hag was ever linked to the job. You can point to ten hags mistakes in lots of other games, but it’s hardly fair to blame him for this. Incidentally I listened to this episode on UA-cam. A platform that is comprehensively killing the so-called mainstream sports media outlets where the 'The professionals' ply their trade. There is a reason for this which this particular episode of 'Manchester is Red' rubber stamps with it's completely out of touch and quite frankly disgusting rhetoric about 'online fans'. Manchester United PLC is all about online interaction, it's recent sponsorship deals from TeamViewer to Snapdragon implies that they are fully aware of the millions of fans worldwide who get up at daft a clock in the morning to support this club regardless of it's decline in the pitch. There is more to Manchester United Football Club than the 75K privileged fans in attendance at Old Trafford. Kick off times are routinely moved to cater for, yes, not the match going fans, but fans around the world paying subscriptions to watch their favourite football clubs - in most cases, online. To be so blatantly ignorant of 'match going' fans apparently having no interest in social media and the content creators giving those same fans a voice is just petty and a bit sad. The reach of these platforms is huge and outstrips anything mainstream 'media' can muster up content-wise that fans will be interested in. Manchester United PLC know this.. All involved in production of this podcast also knows this. A recent interview with a player conducted by a well known social media outlet was incredibly well received with views well into the multi millions. This is reach that cannot be ignored. Bet my house that the majority of match going fans with a mobile phone and access to social media may well have seen that interview. How many of them will have listened to, or watched this podcast? Well, maybe more than usual this time round as we all know spreading negatively gets you clicks, right? Do better.
