2006 ford f250 6.0 powerstroke cold start 26°f #3
Переглядів 15 тис.3 роки тому
this is the worst cold start I've ever had on this truck sat for over a week at 22-26f it took awhile
I had this as a rent car back in 1998. Got no respect on the road.
Hope you’re doing fine brother
Damn old girl still got it
Thats sssssiiiiiicck 😮😮❤❤
You could tell this truck was maintained properly That 5.4 pulls strong for a 24 year old truck
Nice. I have the same car. For some reason , it only drives fast in the cold weather lol. Im gknna manual swap it to see how it changes it lol
Is your truck still running I have the same one
Straight exhaust?
Well maybe if you keep pushing the gas pedal it will run.
All could think was: “Dammm she’s ANGRY” 😂
I have the exact same truck and starts in 10° without a problem
What was with the check engine light?
The plugs don’t go off when the light does lol just leave it on for a min then start it
عندي فولفو مابتش تولع
Bro that's not right. Mine start -5 not plugged in and first try...
15ish 0-60, is that all? :)
I think you need glow plugs or injectors or something, not supposed to start that hard wasn’t even that cold
For a minute, after a start up like that needs at least 10. This guy never heard of a heui injector
Bum car
♥️♥️
Thats ungodly sounding. Sounds better than all the hemis on the road
It’s cursed and jinxed to not start at all
That just the muffler removed? Still got the cat?
Yes you can see his tail at the start.
When it's really cold I cycle my plugs 3 or 4 times before even cranking
That’s a waste of battery, 7.3 glow plugs stay on after the light goes out for 90 seconds I believe
@@MontanaMechanicKing I'm not sure, but I drive a 6.0 my dad has a 7.3 and 6.0's and he prefers the 6.0's.. that being said, the 7.3 goes strong even if you neglect it lol glow plug solenoid is fried and needs aether to start when cold.. 6.0 cold starts are effortless
I’d suggest checking the timing and the glow plugs of the truck. If neither one of those is working then you will have that troubke
Mine starts in 15° weather no problem somthing is off
Jelly in the fuel filters. Highly recommend winter fuel treatment and the blue spring.
Is it a wagon?
Starting issues ain’t the cold bro
Depends if there’s a tune
@@connorlhamon maybe. I live in Chicago, never plug in and starts right up with sand without a tune. Changing my plug wires helped dramatically.
Depends, not entirely the cold however he let it sit for 2 days without starting and my truck was that way when I got it, I had to run multiple fuel additives and oil additives with my injectors on the end of the life I’d say and I actually brought them back to being healthy. Starts like it doesn’t give a fuck now
@@jtrowe3921 Chicago doesn't really get that cold.. when it's -30c to -40c let's see how your truck starts lol
Had a Duramax that was fully big air big fuel and had use ether to start under 30* had no glow plugs though
Que bonito ❤
𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘮𝘰𝘴𝘮 🌟
Let the glow plugs actually heat up and it will start easier. When the light on the dash goes out it doesn’t mean they shut off that’s just an indicator light
he said that in the video...
slow
yesssir
The trans wants to die
Not insanely slow, but definitely not fun, lol. There are some cars out there so slow it's actually dangerous
Ide have to downshift and floor it just to get up some hills lol. I ended up trading this for a truck though
glow plugs
why didnt you keep cranking the engine you are leting go of the key to early
Life*
Sounds like a bad injector, just use shaeffers 5w40 or add archoil 9100 you'll not regret it!!!!!
slow
You with only a corolla and Hyundai on your page lol
For a 26 year old car it's not bad
Man, mine has started beautifully at these temps. It even started each and every time in our Texas winter storm last winter. Single digits several mornings.
That motor is not running right.
How longs that thing been sitting it’s took me a minute for my 7.3 and it’s been sitting for a month and it’s a 2000 at 16 degrees
About 2 weeks ranging from 15-30
*laughs in 7.3 godzilla*
My last 6.0 started crazy good down into the single digits. It was always first time with no injector stick age. Amsoil 10w-30 and dieselkleen in the tank. Napa batteries, blue spring upgrade, and a ficm tune.
A little shot of starter fluid... Drill a hole under the air filter in the air box. Give a three second shot. Should help. But it’s not great for all things. Should start tho.
Yeah I've never been a fan of using starter fluid unless I absolutely have to
Dang. V10 long live the mighty Tritons.
As long is its the v10 lol. 5.4 is garbage I've had 2 of them
started my old v10 in 3 deg started first try. all these cold start diesel videos scare me, especially if you travel to the middle of nowhere like i do. V10 much more reliable then diesel.
Only 105k on it. Not bad. Take care of that ol' girl
That’s horrible
