6 min ago, noice. Did you know that a flip reset has a sound queue to know if you got it or not? After the flip reset, if you boost, the engine starts reving as if you just jump off the ground :)

Hi Rocket Insight I've been playing since 2015, played again in 2021 and reached GC, but mostly because I played 1k game in a season on 1s so my shot and flicks were good but my air control were awful. I started learning aerial things when I reached be GC (peaked at 1510) and stopped RL from late 2022 until january 2025. I took a month to recover from such a long stop and I was learning air drag when I stopped. This time, after seeing A7mD and Nush best of I decided to learn mechanics. After only 3 days of rings (foreward, backward and facing right) my buddies told me I was WAY much faster on aerial challenge (we play around GC2 in 2s and already peaked around 1600mmr). I just felt free while in the air, and it's an incredible feeling. I just started to learn double tap and resets. Just a taste of it but just for fun. And it was incredibly easier to learn with a better aerial car control. Today I'm learning facing left. My method was simple : Half a day learning a 50% speed, then going at 100% speed because my brain learned while I was sleeping. It's crazy but doing things really difficult just before sleep helps the brain to manage the process unconsciously. It's crazy but that's exacly how I'm learning piano, and it really works for me. I will do the whole process in this video and keep you updated. Thanks for everything

What a good video I liked to fact you criticised what you did and didn't overly explain every small detail like other channels do

Such an underrated channel, I watched 2 of your ranking out of diamond videos and one of your champ, I went to play and went from D1 -D3 in just a few hours. You teach and review the replays so well and concise, something just clicked for me! No need for flashy mechanics but having great boost management and good positioning will do the trick! Keep it up man you earned a subscriber and i'll be telling people about your channel!.

In the last situation, he should have gone for the boost backright with the play going away from the goal instead of waiting and picking up back left, imho. It would have solved both problems at once.

I'd like to add one thing to the boost pathing. What helped me a lot is exploring and exercising several kinds of paths so I could tie different paths together more easily. I sometimes do one path just halfway where it meets another one and make a turn, it's fun when you nail those.

A couple of questions for you (love your analysis! And I've never enjoyed an analysis before). 1. When in 1's, I notice that my opponent's can rapidly turn to get back on defense and outspeed me. Can you explain how to do a rapid turn like that? (using break? dunno). 2. I have opponents whose car is positioned sideways to the ball and as it comes to them, they bang it sideways off the bounce for a power shot. How can you do this? Not sure how to barrel roll if that's it.

To get a reset on that first pre flip shot is unbelieveble!

Another fine example of how console players get shafted when trying to improve. The game is 10 years old but Psyonix has still not deemed it necessary to include a few training maps and options that could be used by both PC and console players, without the need to install plugins.

Hey man, there’s been this channel thats popped by this guy who plays in high Gc3 and just hit SSL without using advanced mechanics and solo plays. However there are always a ton of comments in his videos that make fun of him and compare his gameplay to their own (much lower) gameplay. I have him in contact so is it possible to analyze his gameplay and discern his from lower ranks despite being less mechanical?

how do u make those clips where the correct thing is shown? the names are the same so its not just from an other match i suppose?

Are we not gonna talk about the constant unnecessary jump and wavedashing? It seems like a bad habit because you can’t react as quickly to a given play when you’re randomly jumping…

I do think people get whst the thumbnail says, heck they even think theyre more important then their own improvement

Found these videos recently and they made all the difference in my gameplay. I’ve played the game off an on over the course of about two years, a little over 300 hours. I sort of hit a plateau around high diamond 1/low diamond 2, which was frustrating because I would have stretches where I played well above d2 level, the consistency just wasn’t there. Seeing these vids has really helped me to fix a lot of my bad habits and changed the way I think about rotations, especially boost management and challenges. I’m not joking, less than a week after finding this channel I ranked up to champ 1, and since then I’ve held that rank despite always being the least mechanical player in the lobby. It took 3 days to get out of diamond 2, and only 2 days to reach champ 1 from there, it felt like as my teammates got more competent everything just clicked, as I was able to trust myself to play more aggressively as first man knowing my tm8 would also stick with the play more often. Keep posting these

imo this guy's main issue is his lack of mechanics and the lack of confidence that comes with it

At first i didnt understand the hightlight 7 of positioning optimally but i took the advice and kept listening i understood it and im winning more games now, one of the best videos you have made

2/3 of this unusable for console.

Brooo that last part when you said don’t position where your tm8 MIGHT mess up helped me so much. I was hard stuck c3 and now I just made it in gc 1 day after this advice and I’m still climbing 😭 thanks Rocket Insight

Just a student of the game here. I want to share that I was once a hard stuck D3 a few months ago I stumbled across this Chanel a week ago I hit champ 2. The cool part about that is my rank up game was against a team and one of the players had a SSL tag. I straight balled on them and got the dub!!

I've learned air roll pretty well, I can go straight thru most of the rings maps with only 1-2 deaths, 0 deaths if I slow down a bit and really lock in... As much as I hate to admit it... I definitely need to drill the backwards and sideways control like you show here... It feels so awkward to fly sideways. What I've learned is that if you can find something that feels awkward to control, then that's what you should be drilling.
